“I-10 Eastbound Mainlanes Now Accessible from Silber”
(Houston) – The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) is pleased to announce the opening of the new Silber Tunnel. Motorists now have access to the I-10/Katy Freeway eastbound mainlanes from Silber using the improved I-10/Katy Freeway eastbound frontage road. This new extension of the I-10 eastbound frontage road runs under the I-10/I-610 Interchange to the eastbound mainlanes and is one of many program elements designed to enhance traffic flow in this area.
