Below is an updated list of the scheduled closures associated with the Katy Freeway Reconstruction Program as of Friday, July 13, 2007.
CONTRACT C1 (SH 6 to east of ELDRIDGE) CLOSURES
. There will be alternating lane closures on the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound frontage road from SH-6 to ELDRIDGE PARKWAY daily from 9 AM to 3 PM until Tuesday, July 31.
. One outside lane of northbound and southbound SH-6 between PARK ROW and MEMORIAL will be closed daily from 9 AM to 3 PM until Tuesday, July 31.
CONTRACT C2 (DAIRY ASHFORD to east of KIRKWOOD) CLOSURES
. The right lane of the I-10/Katy Freeway eastbound frontage road at KIRKWOOD will be closed daily from 9 AM to 3 PM until Tuesday, July 31.
. There will be alternating lane closures on northbound and southbound KIRKWOOD at I-10/Katy Freeway daily from 9 AM to 3 PM until Friday, July 20.
CONTRACT D (I-10/BELTWAY 8 INTERCHANGE) CLOSURES
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound and westbound mainlanes between WILCREST and GESSNER beginning 5 AM, Saturday, July 14 until 5 AM, Monday, July 16. Traffic will be detoured at the Beltway 8-West frontage road exits to the I-10 eastbound and westbound frontage roads.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound direct connector to BELTWAY 8-WEST southbound from 5 AM, Saturday, July 14 until 5 AM, Monday, July 16. Traffic will detour to the I-10 westbound frontage road, U-turn at Wilcrest to the I-10 eastbound frontage road to the Beltway 8 southbound frontage.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound direct connector to BELTWAY 8-WEST northbound from 5 AM, Saturday, July 14 until 5 AM, Monday, July 16. Traffic will detour to the Beltway 8 northbound road via the 1-10 westbound frontage road.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the BELTWAY 8-WEST southbound frontage road between WESTVIEW and I-10/KATY FREEWAY and the Beltway 8-West southbound frontage road flyover bridge from 5 AM, Saturday, July 14 until 5 AM, Monday, July 16. Traffic will detour west on Westview, south on Brittmoore to the I-10 westbound frontage road and U-turn at Wilcrest to access the I-10 eastbound frontage road to the Beltway 8 southbound frontage road.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the BELTWAY 8-WEST northbound frontage road between QUEENSBURY and I-10/KATY FREEWAY and the Beltway 8-West northbound frontage road flyover bridge from 5 AM, Saturday, July 14 until 5 AM, Monday, July 16. Traffic will detour east on Queensbury to Town and Country, north on Attingham to the I-10 eastbound frontage road.
CONTRACT G (I-610 to west of WASHINGTON) CLOSURES
. One outside lane of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound mainlanes from I-610/WEST LOOP to WASHINGTON AVE will be closed nightly Monday, July 16 to Thursday, July 19 from 9 PM to 5 AM.
. The I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound entrance ramp from WASHINGTON AVE will be closed nightly Monday, July 16 to Thursday, July 19 from 9 PM to 5 AM. Detour east to T.C. Jester and u-turn to enter the I-10 westbound mainlanes via the entrance ramp from T.C. Jester.
