NIGHTLY CLOSURES IN THE VICINITY OF I-10 AT BELTWAY 8
”Construction Activities Continue Throughout the Week”
(Houston) The I-10/Katy Freeway westbound mainlanes at Beltway 8-West will be closed nightly beginning tonight, Monday, August 13 through Thursday, August 16 from 10 PM until 5 AM and closed continuously from 5 AM, Saturday, August 18 to 5 AM, Monday, August 20 as TxDOT contractor, Williams Brothers, continues construction activities on the new Beltway 8-West southbound direct connector to I-10 eastbound. Westbound traffic will detour via the Beltway 8 frontage road exit to the I-10 westbound frontage road and re-enter the I-10 westbound mainlanes just east of Wilcrest.
Additional closures this week include:
. TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/Katy Freeway westbound direct connector ramps to northbound and southbound Beltway 8-West nightly from 10 PM to 5 AM, Monday, August 13 thru Thursday, August 16 and closed continuously from 5 AM, Saturday, August 18 to 5 AM, Monday, August 20.
. TOTAL CLOSURE of the Beltway 8-West southbound frontage road between Westview and I-10/Katy Freeway and the Beltway 8-West southbound frontage road flyover bridge nightly from 9 PM to 5 AM, Monday, August 13 thru Thursday, August 16 and closed continuously from 5 AM, Saturday, August 18 to 5 AM, Monday, August 20.
. TOTAL CLOSURE of the Beltway 8-West northbound frontage road at I-10/Katy Freeway nightly from 9 PM to 5 AM, Monday, August 13 thru Thursday, August 16 and closed continuously from 5 AM, Saturday, August 18 to
5 AM, Monday, August 20.
TxDOT in cooperation with the Harris County Toll Road Authority, Harris County Precinct 5 Constable’s Office and the City of Houston Police Department will station law enforcement at key locations to facilitate the movement of traffic and maintain access in the area.
Please note that all closures are subject to change due to weather, emergency work, or other events.
