TXDOT REOPENS BELTWAY 8 NB TO I-10/KATY WB

TXDOT REOPENS BELTWAY 8 NORTHBOUND TO I-10/KATY FREEWAY WESTBOUND
TxDOT's bridge engineers have completed their inspection and found that the Beltway 8 northbound to I-10/Katy westbound direct connector ramp is structurally sufficient. As an added measure of precaution, TxDOT contractors have placed additional concrete barriers to offset any potential load adjustments as a result of this past weekend's bridge demolition. As of 6:15 PM, the ramp has been reopened to traffic.
As a reminder, this ramp is scheduled for permanent closure in mid-October as a part of the I-10/Beltway 8 Interchange Reconstruction.
