FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE . . .
Below is an updated list of the scheduled closures associated with the Katy Freeway Reconstruction Program as of Friday, September 7, 2007.
CONTRACT C1 (SH 6 to east of ELDRIDGE) CLOSURES
. The eastbound and westbound lanes of PARKLINE at SH-6 will be closed until 5 PM, Sunday, September 9. Detour to Park Row.
CONTRACT D (I-10/BELTWAY 8 INTERCHANGE) CLOSURES
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound mainlanes between just west of GESSNER and WILCREST including the HOV lanes beginning 10 PM, Friday, September 7 until 5 AM, Monday, September 10. Traffic will detour at the Beltway 8 frontage road exit to the I-10 westbound frontage road and re-enter the I-10 westbound mainlanes just east of Wilcrest.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound direct connector ramps to northbound and southbound BELTWAY 8-WEST beginning 10 PM, Friday, September 7 until 5 AM, Monday, September 10. Northbound traffic will exit at the Beltway 8 frontage road exit to the I-10 westbound frontage road to the Beltway 8 northbound frontage road; Southbound traffic will exit at the Beltway 8 frontage road exit to the I-10 westbound frontage road, U-turn at Wilcrest to the I-10 eastbound frontage road to the Beltway 8 southbound frontage road.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound frontage road between BELTWAY 8 and TOWN AND COUNTRY BLVD beginning 9 PM, Friday, September 7 until 5 AM, Monday, September 10. Traffic will detour to the Beltway 8 southbound frontage road to Kimberley, U-turn to the northbound Beltway 8 frontage road, travel eastbound on Queensbury, eastbound on Town and Country Way and northbound on Attingham to the I-10 eastbound frontage road.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the BELTWAY 8-WEST northbound frontage road between QUEENSBURY and I-10/KATY FREEWAY beginning 9 PM, Friday, September 7 until 5 AM, Monday, September 10. Traffic will detour east on Queensbury to Town and Country Way, and north on Attingham to the I-10 eastbound frontage road.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the BELTWAY 8-WEST southbound frontage road between WESTVIEW and I-10/KATY FREEWAY beginning 9 PM, Friday, September 7 until 5 AM, Monday, September 10. Southbound traffic will detour via the southbound frontage road flyover bridge. Westbound traffic will detour west on Westview to Brittmoore, south on Brittmoore to the I-10 westbound frontage road.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the BELTWAY 8-WEST northbound mainlanes between MEMORIAL and I-10/KATY FREEWAY nightly Tuesday, September 11 and Wednesday, September 12 from 10 PM to 5 AM. Traffic will detour at the Memorial exit to the Beltway 8 northbound frontage road. The Beltway 8 northbound direct connector ramp to I-10 westbound will remain open.

A Glimpse At Next Weekend’s Work...
CONTRACTS E1 & E2 (BETWEEN BELTWAY 8 and I-610) CLOSURES
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound mainlanes at the I-610/West Loop beginning 9 PM, Friday, September 14 until 5 AM, Saturday, September 15. Traffic will detour south on I-610, exit at Woodway and U-turn at the intersection to I-610/North Loop to I-10 eastbound.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound direct connector ramps to northbound and southbound I-610/West Loop. Northbound traffic will detour to the Washington exit to Old Katy Road to 610 North. Southbound traffic will detour to the Washington exit to Old Katy Road to Post Oak Boulevard to 610 South.
. Two inside lanes of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound mainlanes between CAMPBELL and I-610/WEST LOOP will be closed Saturday, September 15 from 5 AM to 6 PM.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound exit ramp to CHIMNEY ROCK/WIRT RD beginning 12 AM, Friday September 14 until further notice. Traffic will detour to the Bingle/Voss exit ramp.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound entrance ramp from CHIMNEY ROCK/WIRT RD beginning 12 AM, Friday, September 14 until further notice. Traffic will detour to the Silber tunnel entrance ramp.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound Post Oak/Silber exit ramp starting 12 AM, Friday, September 14 until further notice. Traffic will detour to the Bingle/Voss exit ramp.
. The I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound entrance ramp from Bingle/Voss will re-open at 5 AM, Monday, September 17.
. The I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound exit ramp to Antoine will re-open at 5 AM, Monday, September 17.
