Upcoming Katy Freeway Program Closures |

Below is an updated list of the scheduled closures associated with the Katy Freeway Reconstruction Program as of Friday, September 14, 2007.
CONTRACT C1 (SH 6 to east of ELDRIDGE) CLOSURES
. Eastbound and westbound PARK ROW at SH-6 will be reduced to two lanes in each direction, without dedicated turning lanes beginning Thursday, September 13 until further notice. Anticipate delays.
. Northbound and southbound SH-6 between PARK ROW and PATTERSON will be reduced to two lanes in each direction beginning 9 AM, Monday, September 17 until further notice. Anticipate delays.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of northbound and southbound ELDRIDGE PKWY at I-10/KATY FREEWAY beginning 9 PM, Friday, September 14 until 10 AM, Saturday, September 15. Northbound traffic will detour right on the I-10 eastbound frontage road to Dairy Ashford, turn left at the signalized intersection to the I-10 westbound frontage road to Eldridge; southbound traffic will detour right on the I-10 westbound frontage road to SH-6, turn left at the signalized intersection to the I-10 eastbound frontage road to Eldridge.
CONTRACT D (I-10/BELTWAY 8 INTERCHANGE) CLOSURES
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound mainlanes between WILCREST and GESSNER and the HOV lanes beginning 10 PM, Friday, September 14 until 5 AM, Monday, September 17. Traffic will detour at the Beltway 8 frontage road exit to the I-10 eastbound frontage road and re-enter the I-10 eastbound mainlanes just east of Beltway 8.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound direct connector ramp to northbound BELTWAY 8-WEST beginning 10 PM, Friday, September 14 until 5 AM, Monday, September 17. Northbound traffic will exit at the Beltway 8 frontage road exit to the I-10 westbound frontage road to the Beltway 8 northbound frontage road.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the BELTWAY 8-WEST northbound frontage road between QUEENSBURY and I-10/KATY FREEWAY beginning 9:00 PM, Friday, September 14 until 5 AM, Monday, September 17. Traffic will detour east on Queensbury to Town and Country Way, and north on Attingham to the I-10 eastbound frontage road.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the BELTWAY 8-WEST southbound frontage road at I-10/KATY FREEWAY beginning 9:00 PM, Friday, September 14 until 5 AM, Monday, September 17. Southbound traffic will detour via the southbound frontage road flyover bridge.
CONTRACTS E1 & E2 (BETWEEN BELTWAY 8 and I-610) CLOSURES
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound mainlanes at the I-610/West Loop beginning 9 PM, Friday, September 14 until 5 AM, Saturday, September 15. Traffic will detour south on I-610, exit at Woodway and U-turn at the intersection to I-610/North Loop to I-10 eastbound.
. The I-10/KATY HOV lane will be closed starting Friday, September 14 until 5 AM, Monday, September 17.
. Alternate lanes of BELTWAY 8-WEST southbound between WESTVIEW and I-10/KATY will be closed Saturday, September 15 from 5 AM to 1 PM.
. Two alternate lanes of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound mainlanes between Beltway 8 and I-610/WEST LOOP will be closed beginning 9 PM, Friday, September 14 until 6 PM, Saturday, September 15.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound direct connector ramps to northbound and southbound I-610/West Loop Saturday, September 15 from 5 AM to 6 PM. Northbound traffic will detour to the Washington exit to Old Katy Road to 610 North. Southbound traffic will detour to the Washington exit to Old Katy Road to Post Oak Boulevard to 610 South.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of northbound and southbound BINGLE/VOSS at I-10/KATY FREEWAY beginning 3 AM, Sunday, September 16 until 5 AM, Monday, September 17. Northbound traffic will detour to the I-10 eastbound frontage road, U-turn through the signalized intersection at Chimney Rock to the I-10 westbound frontage road to Bingle; southbound traffic will detour to the I-10 westbound frontage road, U-turn through the signalized intersection at Campbell to the I-10 eastbound frontage road to Voss.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound exit ramp to CHIMNEY ROCK/WIRT RD beginning 12 AM, Friday September 14 until further notice. Traffic will detour to the Bingle/Voss exit ramp.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound entrance ramp from CHIMNEY ROCK/WIRT RD beginning 12 AM, Friday, September 14 until further notice. Traffic will detour to the Silber tunnel entrance ramp.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound Post Oak/Silber exit ramp starting 12 AM, Friday, September 14 until further notice. Traffic will detour to the Bingle/Voss exit ramp.

. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of northbound and southbound CHIMNEY ROCK/WIRT ROAD at I-10/KATY FREEWAY from 3 AM to 6 PM on Saturday, September 22nd. Northbound traffic will detour to the I-10 eastbound frontage road, U-turn through the signalized intersection at Antoine to the I-10 westbound frontage road to Wirt Road; southbound traffic will detour to the I-10 westbound frontage road, U-turn through the signalized intersection at Bingle/Voss to the I-10 eastbound frontage road to Chimney Rock.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of northbound and southbound ANTOINE at I-10/KATY FREEWAY from 3 AM to 6 PM on Sunday, September 23rd. Northbound traffic will detour to the I-10 eastbound frontage road, U-turn through the signalized intersection at Silber to the I-10 westbound frontage road to Antoine; southbound traffic will detour to the I-10 westbound frontage road, U-turn through the signalized intersection at Chimney Rock/Wirt to the I-10 eastbound frontage road to Antoine.
