Below is an updated list of the scheduled closures associated with the Katy Freeway Reconstruction Program as of Friday, September 21, 2007.
CONTRACT C1 (SH 6 to east of ELDRIDGE) CLOSURES
. The I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound frontage road at ELDRIDGE will be reduced to two lanes, without dedicated turning lanes, beginning 9 AM, Monday, September 24. U-turns will remain open. Anticipate delays.
CONTRACT D (I-10/BELTWAY 8 INTERCHANGE) CLOSURES
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound frontage road between LUMPKIN and BELTWAY 8 beginning 10 PM, Friday, September 21 until 5 AM, Monday, September 24. Westbound traffic will detour right on Lumpkin to Westview, make a left on Westview to the Beltway 8 southbound frontage road to the I-10 westbound frontage road.
CONTRACTS E1 & E2 (BETWEEN BELTWAY 8 and I-610) CLOSURES
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of northbound and southbound CHIMNEY ROCK/WIRT ROAD at I-10/KATY FREEWAY nightly from 8 PM to 5 AM on Monday, September 24 and Tuesday, September 25. Northbound traffic will detour to the I-10 eastbound frontage road, U-turn through the signalized intersection at Antoine to the I-10 westbound frontage road to Wirt Road; southbound traffic will detour to the I-10 westbound frontage road, U-turn through the signalized intersection at Bingle/Voss to the I-10 eastbound frontage road to Chimney Rock.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of northbound and southbound ANTOINE at I-10/KATY FREEWAY nightly from 8 PM to 5 AM on Wednesday, September 26 and Thursday, September 27. Northbound traffic will detour to the I-10 eastbound frontage road, U-turn through the signalized intersection at Silber to the I-10 westbound frontage road to Antoine; southbound traffic will detour to the I-10 westbound frontage road, U-turn through the signalized intersection at Chimney Rock/Wirt to the I-10 eastbound frontage road to Antoine.
. There will be alternating lane closures on the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound frontage road between BINGLE/VOSS and CHIMNEY ROCK/WIRT ROAD beginning Friday, September 21 and continuing through Summer 2008.

CONTRACT D (I-10/BELTWAY 8 INTERCHANGE) CLOSURES
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound frontage road between the entrance ramp from WILCREST and BELTWAY 8 beginning 9 PM, Friday, September 28 until 5 AM, October 1.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the BELTWAY 8 northbound frontage road between QUEENSBURY and I-10/KATY FREEWAY beginning 9 PM, Friday, September 28 until 5 AM, October 1.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the BELTWAY 8 southbound frontage road between I-10/KATY FREEWAY and KIMBERLEY beginning 9 PM, Friday, September 28 until 5 AM, October 1.
CONTRACTS E1 & E2 (BETWEEN BELTWAY 8 and I-610) CLOSURES
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of northbound and southbound SILBER at I-10/KATY FREEWAY from 8 PM, Friday, September 28 until 6 PM, Saturday, September 29. Northbound traffic will detour to the I-10 eastbound frontage road, turn left on N. Post Oak at the signalized intersection and turn left on the I-10 westbound frontage road to Silber; southbound traffic will detour to the I-10 westbound frontage road, U-turn through the signalized intersection at Antoine to the I-10 eastbound frontage road to Silber.
CONTRACT G (I-610 to west of WASHINGTON) CLOSURES
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound and westbound mainlanes between I-610/WEST LOOP and WASHINGTON AVE. More details regarding closure duration and detours will be announced next week.
