Below is an updated list of the scheduled closures associated with the Katy Freeway Reconstruction Program as of Friday, October 5, 2007.
CONTRACT C1 (SH6 TO EAST OF ELDRIDGE) CLOSURES
. One outside lane of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound mainlanes between ELDRIDGE and SH 6 will be closed Saturday, October 6 from 4 AM to 8 AM.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound frontage road between ELDRIDGE and SH 6 Saturday, October 6 from 4 AM to 8 PM. Traffic will detour north on Eldridge to Park Ten west to SH 6.
CONTRACT C2 (DAIRY ASHFORD TO EAST OF KIRKWOOD) CLOSURES
. The inside lane of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound mainlanes will be closed nightly from Monday, October 8 through Wednesday, October 10 from 9 PM to 5 AM.
CONTRACT D (I-10/BELTWAY 8 INTERCHANGE) CLOSURES
. There will a TOTAL CLOSURE of the BELTWAY 8-WEST northbound direct connector ramp to I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound starting Friday, October 5 at 10 PM through January 15, 2008. Westbound traffic will detour to exit at Hammerly (tolls will be waived), U-turn to the Beltway 8 southbound frontage road to the I-10 westbound frontage road, and access the I-10 westbound mainlanes via the entrance ramp from Wilcrest.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the eastbound and westbound HOV lanes from 8:30 PM on Friday, October 5 through 5 AM on Monday, October 8.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound frontage road between BELTWAY 8 and TOWN AND COUNTRY BLVD. beginning 9 PM, Friday, October 5 until 5 AM, Monday, October 8. Detour to the Beltway 8 southbound frontage road, U-turn at Kimberley to Queensbury, right on Queensbury to Town and Country Way, and left on Attingham to the I-10 eastbound frontage road.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the BELTWAY 8-WEST northbound mainlanes between MEMORIAL and I-10/KATY FREEWAY nightly beginning Friday, October 5 thru Friday, October 12 from 10 PM to 5 AM. Traffic will detour to exit at Memorial to the Beltway 8 northbound frontage road.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the BELTWAY 8-WEST southbound mainlanes between WESTVIEW and I-10/KATY FREEWAY nightly on Friday, October 5 and Saturday, October 6 from 10 PM to 5 AM. Traffic will detour to exit at Westview to the Beltway 8 southbound frontage road.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound direct connector ramp to BELTWAY 8-WEST southbound nightly beginning Friday, October 5 thru Sunday, October 7 from 10 PM to 5 AM. Traffic will detour to exit at Wilcrest, U-turn to the I-10 westbound frontage road to the Beltway 8 southbound frontage road.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the BELTWAY 8-WEST southbound frontage road at I-10/KATY FREEWAY nightly beginning Saturday, October 6 thru Tuesday, October 9 from 9 PM to 5 AM. Traffic will detour to the I-10 westbound frontage road, U-turn at Wilcrest to the I-10 eastbound frontage road to Beltway 8 southbound.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the BELTWAY 8-WEST southbound frontage road flyover bridge nightly beginning Saturday, October 6 thru Tuesday, October 9 from 9 PM to 5 AM.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the BELTWAY 8-WEST southbound direct connector to I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound on Monday, October 8 from 10 PM to 5 AM. Traffic will detour to Westview, turn right on Westview to Brittmoore, and left on Brittmoore to the I-10 westbound frontage road.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the BELTWAY 8-WEST northbound frontage road between Queensbury and I-10/KATY FREEWAY nightly beginning Monday, October 8 thru Friday, October 12 from 9 PM to 5 AM. Traffic will detour right on Queensbury to Town and Country Way, left on Attingham to the I-10 eastbound frontage road.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the Beltway 8 northbound frontage road flyover bridge starting Monday, October 8 until further notice.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound frontage road between the I-10 eastbound entrance ramp from Wilcrest and Beltway 8 beginning Monday, October 8 thru Wednesday, October 10 from 9 PM to 5 AM. Traffic will detour to the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound mainlanes.
