Upcoming Katy Freeway Program Closures |

Below is an updated list of the scheduled closures associated with the Katy Freeway Reconstruction Program as of Friday, October 12, 2007.
CONTRACT C2 (DAIRY ASHFORD to east of KIRKWOOD) CLOSURES CONTRACT
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY HOV Lane between ELDRIDGE and WILCREST starting
. One inside lane of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound mainlanes between ELDRIDGE and WILCREST will be closed starting 9 PM, Friday, October 12 until 11 AM, Saturday, October 13.
. There will be alternating lane closures on southbound KIRKWOOD at the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound frontage road on Sunday, October 14 from 7 AM to 4 PM.
CONTRACT D (I-10/BELTWAY 8 INTERCHANGE) CLOSURES
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of northbound and southbound BELTWAY 8 at I-10/KATY FREEWAY beginning 10 PM, Friday, October 12 until 5 AM, Monday, October 15. Beltway 8 northbound traffic will detour via the Boehme and Memorial exits to the Beltway 8 northbound frontage road. Beltway 8 southbound traffic will detour via the Westview exit to the Beltway 8 southbound frontage road or exit via the I-10/Katy Freeway eastbound or westbound direct connector ramps.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound direct connector ramp to BELTWAY 8 southbound beginning 10 PM, Friday, October 12 until 5 AM, Monday, October 15. Detour via the Beltway 8 frontage road exit to the I-10 westbound frontage road, and make a left to the Beltway 8 southbound frontage road.
. There will be a nightly TOTAL CLOSURE of I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound mainlanes between WILCREST and GESSNER starting Friday, October 12 through Sunday, October, 14 from 10 PM to 5 AM. Detour via the Beltway 8 frontage road exit east of Wilcrest onto the I-10 eastbound frontage road to re-enter mainlanes west of Gessner.
. There will be a nightly TOTAL CLOSURE of the BELTWAY 8 southbound direct connect ramp to I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound starting Friday, October 12 through Sunday, October, 14 from 10 PM to 5 AM. Detour via the Beltway 8 southbound direct connector to I-10/Katy Freeway westbound, exit at Kirkwood and U-turn to the I-10 eastbound frontage road.
. There will be a nightly TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound direct connector ramp to BELTWAY 8 northbound starting Friday, October 12 through Sunday, October, 14 from 10 PM to 5 AM. Detour via the Gessner exit, U-turn to the I-10 westbound frontage road to the Beltway 8 northbound frontage road.
. . There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY HOV lanes from 8:30 PM on Friday, October 12 through 5 AM on Monday, October 15.
