Upcoming Multiple Total Closures This Weekend |

Below is an updated list of the scheduled closures associated with the Katy Freeway Reconstruction Program as of Thursday, November 1, 2007.
CONTRACT C1 (SH 6 to east of ELDRIDGE) CLOSURES
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of northbound and southbound SH-6 at I-10/KATY FREEWAY overnight beginning 9 PM, Friday, November 2 until 10 AM, Saturday, November 3. Northbound detour to Eldridge and u-turn; southbound detour to Park Ten and u-turn.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of eastbound and westbound FT. SMITH at SH-6 until 5 PM, Tuesday, November 13. Detour to Grisby.
CONTRACT D (I-10/BELTWAY 8 INTERCHANGE) CLOSURES
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound between WILCREST and GESSNER, including the WILCREST entrance ramp, nightly beginning Thursday, November 1 to Monday, November 5 from 10 PM to 5 AM. Detour to the I-10 eastbound frontage road.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound between GESSNER and WILCREST nightly beginning Thursday, November 1 to Monday, November 5 from 10 PM to 5 AM. Detour to the I-10 westbound frontage road.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the BELTWAY 8 northbound frontage road between QUEENSBURY and I-10/KATY FREEWAY nightly beginning Thursday, November 1 to Monday, November 5 from 10 PM to 5 AM. Detour right on Queensbury to Town and Country Way, left on Attingham to the I-10 eastbound frontage road.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the BELTWAY 8 southbound frontage road between WESTVIEW and I-10/KATY FREEWAY nightly beginning Thursday, November 1 to Monday, November 5 from 10 PM to 5 AM. Detour right on Westview to Brittmoore, left on Brittmoore to the I-10 westbound frontage road.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/Katy HOV LANE between WILCREST AND GESSNER nightly beginning Thursday, November 1 to Monday, November 5 from 10 PM to 5 AM.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound direct connector ramp to BELTWAY 8 southbound and northbound nightly beginning Thursday, November 1 to Monday, November 5 from 10 PM to 5 AM. Motorists will be detoured via the Beltway 8 frontage road exit to the I-10 westbound frontage road, to access the frontage roads of Beltway 8 southbound and northbound respectively.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound frontage road between LUMPKIN and BELTWAY 8 Saturday, November 3 and Sunday, November 4 from 5 AM to 7 PM. Westbound traffic will detour right on Lumpkin to Westview, make a left on Westview to the Beltway 8 southbound frontage road to the I-10 westbound frontage road.
CONTRACTS E1 & E2 (BETWEEN BELTWAY 8 and I-610) CLOSURES
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of northbound and southbound GESSNER at I-10/KATY FREEWAY from 9 PM, Friday, November 2 until 5 AM, Monday, November 5. Northbound traffic will detour right on the I-10 eastbound frontage road, U-turn at the signalized intersection at Bunker Hill to the I-10 westbound frontage road to Gessner. Southbound traffic will detour right on the I-10 westbound frontage road, U-turn through the signalized intersection at Beltway 8 to the I-10 eastbound frontage road to Gessner. The eastbound to westbound U-turn at Gessner will remain open.
. The right lane of the eastbound frontage road between BLALOCK/ECHO LANE and BINGLE/VOSS will be closed nightly from 9 PM to 5 AM on Monday, November 5 and Tuesday, November 6.
CONTRACT G (I-610 to west of WASHINGTON) CLOSURES
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound at WASHINGTON AVE/WESTCOTT ST nightly Friday, November 2 and Saturday, November 3 from 9 PM to 9 AM. Detour to the Washington exit to Old Katy road to the I-10 westbound frontage road and re-enter the I-10 mainlanes at the Antoine entrance.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound direct connector ramp to northbound and southbound I-610/WEST LOOP nightly Friday, November 2 and Saturday, November 3 from 9 PM to 9 AM. Northbound detour to Old Katy Road, to the I-610/West Loop northbound frontage road; southbound detour to Old Katy Road, to N. Post Oak southbound, to the I-610/West Loop southbound frontage road.

. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of northbound and southbound BUNKER HILL at I-10/KATY FREEWAY from 9 PM on Friday, November 9 through 5 AM on Monday, November 12. Northbound detour on the eastbound frontage road to Blalock/Echo Lane and u-turn at the signalized intersection to the westbound frontage road to Bunker Hill. Southbound detour to the westbound frontage road to Gessner, u-turn at the signalized intersection to the eastbound frontage road to Bunker Hill.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of northbound and southbound ANTOINE south of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound frontage road from 9 PM Friday, November 9 through 5 AM Monday, November 12. Traffic will detour along Memorial to Silber or Chimney Rock. The eastbound frontage road at Antoine will remain open.
