Below is a modified list of scheduled Katy Program closures beginning tonight Friday, November 9, 2007. (This list supersedes the previously released information.)
CONTRACT C1 (SH 6 to east of ELDRIDGE) CLOSURES
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound frontage road between ELDRIDGE and SH-6 overnight beginning 9 PM, Friday, November 9 until 5 AM, Saturday, November 10. At 5 AM one lane of the frontage road will reopen. All lanes will open at 10 AM. Motorists will need to exit at Park Ten, U-turn to the I-10 eastbound frontage road, to SH-6. Residents needing to access Blackhaw and Redhaw streets will be provided access by traffic control officers.
. One outside lane of I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound will be closed between ELDRIDGE and SH-6 overnight beginning 10 PM, Friday, November 9 until 10 AM, Saturday, November 10.
CONTRACT D (I-10/BELTWAY 8 INTERCHANGE) CLOSURES
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of BELTWAY 8 northbound at MEMORIAL continuously beginning 10 PM, Friday, November 9 until 5 AM, Monday, November 12. Detour via the Boheme and Memorial exits to the Beltway 8 northbound frontage road.
. Two inside lanes of BELTWAY 8 southbound between WESTVIEW and MEMORIAL will be closed overnight Friday, November 9 from 10 PM to 5 AM.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound frontage road between the entrance ramp from WILCREST to BELTWAY 8 beginning 10 PM, Saturday, November 10 until noon, Sunday, November 11. Detour to the I-10 eastbound mainlanes. Apartment complex access in the area will be maintained.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound direct connector ramp to Beltway 8 southbound continuously until 5 AM, Monday, November 12. Detour via the Beltway 8 frontage road exit to the I-10 westbound frontage road, and make a left to the Beltway 8 southbound frontage road or take the Beltway 8 northbound direct connector ramp and exit Hammerly, and U-turn to re-enter the Beltway 8 southbound mainlanes. Tolls will be waived at the Beltway 8 exit ramp to Hammerly.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of BELTWAY 8 southbound between WESTVIEW and south of I-10/KATY FREEWAY and the Beltway 8 southbound frontage road flyover bridge, nightly 10 PM to 5 AM, Monday, November 12 and Tuesday, November 13. Detour to the frontage road.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the BELTWAY 8 northbound frontage road between QUEENSBURY and I-10/KATY FREEWAY nightly from 10 PM to 5 AM, Monday, November 12 and Tuesday, November 13. Detour right on Queensbury to Town and Country Way, left on Attingham to the I-10 eastbound frontage road.
CONTRACTS E1 & E2 (BETWEEN BELTWAY 8 and I-610) CLOSURES
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of northbound and southbound ANTOINE between the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound frontage road and MEMORIAL beginning 9 PM, Friday, November 9 until 5 AM, Monday, November 12. Northbound traffic will detour right on Memorial to Silber and left to the I-10 westbound frontage road. Southbound traffic will detour left on the I-10 eastbound frontage road to Silber, and right on Silber to Memorial. Traffic will be allowed to access businesses located in the area.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of northbound and southbound BUNKER HILL at I-10/KATY FREEWAY from 9 PM, Friday, November 9 until 5 AM, Monday, November 12. Northbound traffic will detour to the I-10 eastbound frontage road to Blalock/Echo Lane and u-turn at the signalized intersection to the I-10 westbound frontage road to Bunker Hill. Southbound traffic will detour to the I-10 westbound frontage road to Gessner, u-turn at the signalized intersection to the I-10 eastbound frontage road to Bunker Hill.
. The I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound entrance ramp from GESSNER will close beginning 9 PM, Sunday, November 11 until February 2008. Detour to the new entrance ramp from Bunker Hill.
. One lane of northbound and southbound ANTOINE between the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound frontage road and MEMORIAL will be closed until further notice.
CONTRACT G (I-610 to west of WASHINGTON) CLOSURES
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound between WASHINGTON AVE/WESTCOTT ST and I-610/WEST LOOP from 9 PM, Friday, November 9 until to 5 AM, Saturday, November 10. Detour to the Washington exit to Old Katy road to the I-10 westbound frontage road and re-enter the I-10 mainlanes at the Antoine entrance.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound direct connector ramps to I-610/WEST LOOP northbound and southbound from 9 PM, Friday, November 9 until to 5 AM, Saturday, November 10. Motorists destined to I-610 northbound detour to Old Katy Road, to the I-610 northbound frontage road. Motorists destined to I-610 southbound detour to Old Katy Road, to N. Post Oak southbound, to the I-610 southbound frontage road.

. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of northbound and southbound INTERNATIONAL BLVD between the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound frontage road and MEMORIAL beginning 9 PM, Friday, November 16 until 5 AM, Monday, November 19. Northbound traffic will detour east on Memorial, north on Antoine to the I-10 westbound frontage road; southbound traffic will detour east on the I-10 eastbound frontage road, south on Antoine to Memorial. Apartment complex access in the area will be maintained.
CONTRACT G (I-610 to west of WASHINGTON) CLOSURES
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound and westbound mainlanes between WASHINGTON AVE/WESTCOTT ST and I-610/WEST LOOP beginning 10 PM, Friday, November 16 until 5 AM, Monday, November 19. More details regarding closure duration and detours will be announced next week.
