EMERGENCY CLOSURE of BW8 SB to I-10 EB CONNECTOR

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE ...
Please be advised that there is an emergency closure of the Beltway 8 southbound to I-10 eastbound direct connector ramp. The bridge has been closed to ensure the safety of the driving public while bridge engineers assess the ramp for any potential damage as a result of a car fire that occurred early this morning. More information including the anticipated duration of the closure will be provided as more information is available. In the interim, eastbound traffic should use the Beltway 8 southbound direct connector to I-10 westbound, exit Kirkwood and U-turn to the I-10 eastbound frontage road to access the I-10 eastbound mainlines.
