Below is an updated list of the scheduled closures associated with the Katy Freeway Reconstruction Program as of Friday, November 30, 2007.
CONTRACT C2 (DAIRY ASHFORD to east of KIRKWOOD) CLOSURES CONTRACT
. One outside lane of I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound between WILCREST DR and ELDRIDGE PARKWAY will be closed overnight from 9 PM, Friday, November 30 to 5 AM, Saturday, December 1.
. Alternate entrance and exit ramps along the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound frontage road between ELDRIDGE PARKWAY and WILCREST DR will be closed overnight from 9 PM, Friday, November 30 to 5 AM, Saturday, December 1.
. There will be alternating lane closures of northbound and southbound KIRKWOOD at I-10/KATY FREEWAY on Saturday, December 1 from 7 AM to 12 PM.
CONTRACT D (I-10/BELTWAY 8 INTERCHANGE) CLOSURES
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound and westbound, including the I-10/Katy HOV LANE, between WILCREST and GESSNER from 10 PM, Monday, December 3 to 5 AM, Tuesday, December 4. Detour to the respective frontage roads.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound entrance ramp from WILCREST from 10 PM, Monday, December 3 to 5 AM, Tuesday, December 4. Detour to the I-10 eastbound entrance ramp after Beltway 8.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the BELTWAY 8 northbound frontage road between QUEENSBURY and I-10/KATY FREEWAY from 10 PM, Monday, December 3 to 5 AM, Tuesday, December 4. Detour right at Queensbury to Town and Country Way, left on Attingham to the I-10 eastbound frontage road.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the Beltway 8 southbound frontage road between WESTVIEW and I-10/KATY FREEWAY from 10 PM, Monday, December 3 to 5 AM, Tuesday, December 4. Detour right on Westview to Brittmoore, left on Brittmoore to the I-10 westbound frontage road, make U-turn at Wilcrest to the I-10 eastbound frontage road to access the Beltway 8 southbound frontage.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound direct connector ramp to Beltway 8 north- and southbound from 10 PM, Monday, December 3 to 5 AM, Tuesday, December 4. Motorists destined to Beltway 8 northbound detour to the Beltway 8 frontage road exit to the I-10 westbound frontage road to the Beltway 8 northbound frontage road. Motorists destined to Beltway 8 southbound detour to the Beltway 8 frontage road exit to the I-10 westbound frontage road, and make a left to the Beltway 8 southbound frontage road.
CONTRACTS E1 & E2 (BETWEEN BELTWAY 8 and I-610) CLOSURES
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of BINGLE/VOSS RD at I-10/KATY FREEWAY beginning 6 AM, Saturday, December 1 until 5 AM, Monday, December 3. Northbound traffic will detour to the I-10 eastbound frontage road, u-turn at the signalized intersection at Chimney Rock/Wirt Rd to the I-10 westbound frontage road to Bingle. Southbound traffic will detour to the I-10 westbound frontage road, u-turn at the signalized intersection at Campbell to the I-10 eastbound frontage road to Voss Rd.
CONTRACT G (I-610 to west of WASHINGTON) CLOSURES
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound between WASHINGTON AVE/WESTCOTT ST and I-610/WEST LOOP beginning 9 PM, Friday, November 30 until 5 AM, Monday, December 3. I-10 westbound traffic will detour to the Washington exit to Old Katy Road to the I-10 westbound frontage road and re-enter the I-10 mainlanes after Antoine.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound direct connector ramp to I-610/WEST LOOP north- and southbound beginning 9 PM, Friday, November 30 until 5 AM, Monday, December 3. I-10 westbound traffic destined to I-610 northbound will detour to Old Katy Road, to the I-610 northbound frontage road. I-10 westbound traffic destined to I-610 southbound will detour to Old Katy Road, make a left on North Post Oak to access the I-610 southbound frontage road and enter the I-610 mainlanes after Woodway.
. There will be alternate lane closures on the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound mainlanes between I-610/WEST LOOP and WASHINGTON AVE/WESTCOTT ST nightly Friday, November 30 and Saturday, December 1 from 9 PM to 5 AM.
. There will be alternate lane closures on the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound mainlanes between WASHINGTON AVE/WESTCOTT ST and I-610/WEST LOOP nightly Monday, December 3 to Saturday, December 8 from 9 PM to 5 AM.
