Below is an updated list of the scheduled closures associated with the Katy Freeway Reconstruction Program as of Friday, December 14, 2007.
CONTRACT C2 (DAIRY ASHFORD to east of KIRKWOOD) CLOSURES CONTRACT
. The left lane of I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound between DAIRY ASHFORD and KIRKWOOD will be closed beginning 9 PM, Friday, December 14 to 1 AM, Saturday, December 14.
. One inside lane of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound frontage road at KIRKWOOD and the U-turn will be closed on Monday, December 17 from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Detour to the signalized intersection.
One outside lane of KIRKWOOD northbound at IH 10-KATY FREEWAY will be closed on Monday, December 17 from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
CONTRACT D (I-10/BELTWAY 8 INTERCHANGE) CLOSURES
. Effective January 5, 2008 the next two ramps scheduled to close, the I-10 eastbound and westbound direct connectors to Beltway 8 northbound, will be taken out of service. More information on the updated closure schedule for the I-10/Beltway 8 reconstruction and specific detours will be forthcoming.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound frontage road between the WILCREST entrance ramp and BELTWAY 8-WEST nightly Friday, December 14 and Saturday, December 15 from 9 PM to 5 AM. Detour to the I-10 eastbound mainlanes.
. There will a TOTAL CLOSURE of the BELTWAY 8-WEST northbound direct connector ramp to I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound nightly Friday, December 14 through Thursday, December 20 from 10 PM to 5 AM. Westbound traffic will detour to exit at Hammerly (tolls will be waived), U-turn to the Beltway 8 southbound frontage road to the I-10 westbound frontage road, and access the I-10 westbound mainlanes via the entrance ramp from Wilcrest.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the BELTWAY 8 southbound flyover bridge overnight Friday, December 14 from 9 PM to 5 AM.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound frontage road between the GESSNER entrance ramp and BELTWAY 8-WEST nightly Sunday, December 16 and Monday, December 17 from 9 PM to 5 AM. Traffic will detour to the I-10 westbound mainlanes via the Gessner entrance ramp and exit at Wilcrest.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the BELTWAY 8-WEST southbound frontage road between WESTVIEW and I-10/KATY FREEWAY overnight beginning 9 PM, Monday, December 17 until 5 AM, Tuesday, December 18. Traffic will detour right on Westview to Brittmoore, left on Brittmoore to the I-10 westbound frontage road, U-turn at Wilcrest to the I-10 eastbound frontage road to Beltway 8.
CONTRACTS E1 & E2 (BETWEEN BELTWAY 8 and I-610) CLOSURES
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of northbound and southbound BINGLE/VOSS RD at I-10/KATY FREEWAY daily Saturday, December 15 and Sunday, December 16 from 4 AM to 6 PM. Northbound traffic will detour to the I-10 eastbound frontage road to Chimney Rock/Wirt and U-turn at the signalized intersection to the I-10 westbound frontage road to Bingle. Southbound traffic will detour to the I-10 westbound frontage road to Campbell, U-turn at the signalized intersection to the I-10 eastbound frontage road to Voss.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound exit ramp to ANTOINE Saturday, December 15 and Sunday, December 16 from 7 AM to 7 PM. Traffic will detour via the Bingle/Voss Rd exit to the I-10 eastbound frontage road to Antoine.
. Alternate lanes of the I-10 eastbound frontage road will be closed between CHIMNEY ROCK/WIRT RD. and SILBER on Saturday, December 15 and Sunday, December 16 from 7 AM to 7 PM.
. Alternate lanes of the I-10 eastbound frontage road will be closed between WIRT RD and N POST OAK. will be closed daily on Saturday, December 15 to Sunday, December 16 from 7 AM to 7 PM.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of ANNE STREET at the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound frontage road from 7 AM, Sunday, December 16 through 7 PM, Saturday, December 22. Traffic will detour north on Campbell and west on Westview to access Anne St.
. The left lane of the I-10 eastbound frontage road between GESSNER and BUNKER HILL will be closed on Monday, December 17 from 9 AM to 3 PM.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound exit to BUNKER HILL beginning 9 PM, Friday, December 21 until further notice. Traffic will detour to the Campbell exit.
. The right lane of I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound will be closed between BLALOCK/ECHO LANE and BUNKER HILL beginning 9 PM, Friday, December 21 until 7 PM, Saturday, December 22.
. One alternate lane of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound frontage road between CAMPBELL and BUNKER HILL will be closed Saturday, December 22 from 7 AM to 7 PM.
