Below is an updated list of the scheduled closures associated with the Katy Freeway Reconstruction Program as of Friday, January 11, 2008.
CONTRACT C1 (SH 6 to east of ELDRIDGE) CLOSURES
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of northbound and southbound STAFFORD at the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound frontage road until Wednesday, January 23. Detour to Addicks-Howell.
CONTRACT D (I-10/BELTWAY 8 INTERCHANGE) CLOSURES
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of Beltway 8-West northbound between MEMORIAL and I-10/KATY FREEWAY beginning 10 PM, Friday, January 11 until 5 PM, Sunday, January 13. Beltway 8 northbound traffic will detour via the Memorial exit to the Beltway 8 northbound frontage road. One lane of traffic will remain open for motorists needing to access the Beltway 8 northbound direct connector ramps to I-10/Katy Freeway eastbound and westbound.
. Two lanes of I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound between GESSNER and WILCREST will be closed overnight beginning 9 PM, Friday, January 11 until 5 AM, Saturday, January 12.
. The I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound entrance ramp from GESSNER will be closed overnight beginning 9 PM, Friday, January 11 until 5 AM, Saturday, January 12.
. The BELTWAY 8-WEST southbound frontage road between WESTVIEW and I-10/KATY FREEWAY will be closed overnight beginning 9 PM, Friday, January 11 until 5 AM, Saturday, January 12. Traffic will detour right on Westview to Brittmoore, left on Brittmoore to the I-10 westbound frontage road, U-turn at Wilcrest to the I-10 eastbound frontage road to Beltway 8.
. The I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound frontage road between LUMPKIN and BELTWAY 8 will be closed overnight beginning 9 PM, Friday, January 11 until 5 AM, Saturday, January 12. Traffic destined westbound will detour via Lumpkin to Westview, make a left to the Beltway 8 southbound frontage road and take the Beltway 8 southbound frontage road to the I-10 westbound frontage road.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound between GESSNER and WILCREST and the I-10 westbound entrance ramp from Gessner nightly Monday, January 14 to Wednesday, January 16 from 10 PM to 5 AM. Detour to the I-10 westbound frontage road.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound direct connector ramp to BELTWAY 8 southbound nightly Monday, January 14 to Wednesday, January 16 from 10 PM to 5 AM. Detour to the Beltway 8 frontage road exit to the I-10 westbound frontage road, and make a left to the Beltway 8 southbound frontage road.
CONTRACTS E1 & E2 (BETWEEN BELTWAY 8 and I-610) CLOSURES
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of northbound and southbound SILBER at I-10/KATY FREEWAY beginning 9 PM, Friday, January 11 until 5 AM, Monday, January 14. Northbound traffic will detour to the I-10 eastbound frontage road and U-turn at N. Post Oak to the I-10 westbound frontage road to Silber. Southbound traffic will detour to the I-10 westbound frontage road and U-turn through the signalized intersection at Antoine to the I-10 eastbound frontage road to Silber.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of northbound and southbound BINGLE/VOSS ROAD at I-10/KATY FREEWAY beginning 9 PM, Friday, January 11 until 5 AM, Monday, January 14. Northbound traffic will detour to the I-10 eastbound frontage road and u-turn at Chimney Rock/Wirt Rd. to the I-10 westbound frontage road to Bingle. Southbound traffic will detour to the I-10 westbound frontage road and u-turn at Campbell to the I-10 eastbound frontage road to Voss.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound exit ramp to GESSNER Saturday, January 12 from 6 AM to noon. Traffic should exit at Campbell and detour to the I-10 westbound frontage road to Gessner.

CONTRACTS E1 & E2 (BETWEEN BELTWAY 8 and I-610) CLOSURES
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of northbound and southbound SILBER at I-10/KATY FREEWAY on Saturday, January 19 from 6 AM to 6 PM. Northbound traffic will detour to the I-10 eastbound frontage road and U-turn at N. Post Oak to the I-10 westbound frontage road to Silber. Southbound traffic will detour to the I-10 westbound frontage road and U-turn through the signalized intersection at Antoine to the I-10 eastbound frontage road to Silber.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of northbound and southbound BINGLE/VOSS ROAD at I-10/KATY FREEWAY beginning 9 PM, Friday, January 18 until 5 AM, Monday, January 21. Northbound traffic will detour to the I-10 eastbound frontage road and u-turn at Chimney Rock/Wirt Rd. to the I-10 westbound frontage road to Bingle. Southbound traffic will detour to the I-10 westbound frontage road and u-turn at Campbell to the I-10 eastbound frontage road to Voss.
