Below is an updated list of the scheduled closures associated with the Katy Freeway Reconstruction Program as of Friday, January 18, 2008.
CONTRACT C1 (SH 6 to east of ELDRIDGE) CLOSURES
. There will be alternating lane closures on northbound and southbound SH-6 between PARK ROW and MEMORIAL daily beginning Friday, January 18 through Friday, February 1 from 9 AM to 3 PM (excluding Sundays).
CONTRACT C2 (DAIRY ASHFORD to east of KIRKWOOD) CLOSURES
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound U-turn at KIRKWOOD RD on Saturday, January 19 from 7 AM to 5 PM. Detour to the signalized intersection.
CONTRACT D (I-10/BELTWAY 8 INTERCHANGE) CLOSURES
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound between GESSNER and WILCREST nightly Friday, January 18 and Saturday, January 19 from 10 PM to 5 AM. Detour to the I-10 westbound frontage road.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound, including the I-10/KATY HOV lane, between WILCREST and GESSNER nightly beginning Friday, January 18 through Sunday, January 20 from 10 PM to 5 AM. Detour to the I-10 eastbound frontage road.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound direct connector ramp to BELTWAY 8 southbound nightly Friday, January 18 and Saturday, January 19 from 10 PM to 5 AM. Detour to the Beltway 8 frontage road exit to the I-10 westbound frontage road, and make a left to the Beltway 8 southbound frontage road.
. The I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound entrance ramp from GESSNER will be closed overnight beginning 10 PM, Friday, January 18 until 5 AM, Saturday, January 19.
. The BELTWAY 8-WEST southbound frontage road between WESTVIEW and I-10/KATY FREEWAY will be closed nightly beginning Friday, January 18 until Sunday, January 20 from 10 PM to 5 AM. Traffic will detour right on Westview to Brittmoore, left on Brittmoore to the I-10 westbound frontage road, U-turn at Wilcrest to the I-10 eastbound frontage road to Beltway 8.
. The BELTWAY 8-WEST northbound frontage road between I-10/KATY FREEWAY and WESTVIEW will be closed nightly beginning Friday, January 18 until Sunday, January 20 from 10 PM to 5 AM. Traffic will detour right on the I-10 eastbound frontage road, U-turn at Gessner to the I-10 westbound frontage road and turn right on the Beltway 8 northbound frontage road.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound frontage road between WILCREST and BELTWAY 8, including the I-10 eastbound exit ramp to Beltway 8, nightly beginning Monday, January 21 until Wednesday, January 23 from 10 PM to 5 AM. Detour to the I-10 eastbound mainlanes.
CONTRACTS E1 & E2 (BETWEEN BELTWAY 8 and I-610) CLOSURES
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of northbound and southbound BINGLE/VOSS ROAD at I-10/KATY FREEWAY beginning 9 PM, Friday, January 18 until 5 AM, Monday, January 21. Northbound traffic will detour to the I-10 eastbound frontage road and u-turn at Chimney Rock/Wirt Rd. to the I-10 westbound frontage road to Bingle. Southbound traffic will detour to the I-10 westbound frontage road and u-turn at Campbell to the I-10 eastbound frontage road to Voss.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the northbound and southbound CHIMNEY ROCK/WIRT RD from 8 PM, Monday, January 21 to 5 AM, Tuesday, January 22. Northbound traffic will detour to the I-10 eastbound frontage road and u-turn at the signalized intersection at Antoine to the I-10 westbound frontage road to northbound Wirt. Southbound traffic will detour to the I-10 westbound frontage road, u-turn at the signalized intersection at Bingle/Voss Rd to the I-10 eastbound frontage road to Chimney Rock.

CONTRACTS E1 & E2 (BETWEEN BELTWAY 8 and I-610) CLOSURES
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the northbound and southbound CHIMNEY ROCK/WIRT RD from 9 PM, Friday, January 25 to 5 AM, Monday, January 28. Northbound traffic will detour to the I-10 eastbound frontage road and u-turn at the signalized intersection at Antoine to the I-10 westbound frontage road to northbound Wirt. Southbound traffic will detour to the I-10 westbound frontage road, u-turn at the signalized intersection at Bingle/Voss Rd to the I-10 eastbound frontage road to Chimney Rock.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of northbound and southbound SILBER at I-10/KATY FREEWAY on Saturday, January 26 from 6 AM to 6 PM. Northbound traffic will detour to the I-10 eastbound frontage road and U-turn at N. Post Oak to the I-10 westbound frontage road to Silber. Southbound traffic will detour to the I-10 westbound frontage road and U-turn through the signalized intersection at Antoine to the I-10 eastbound frontage road to Silber.
