Below is an updated list of the scheduled closures associated with the Katy Freeway Reconstruction Program as of Friday, January 25, 2008.
CONTRACT D (I-10/BELTWAY 8 INTERCHANGE) CLOSURES
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound frontage road between LUMPKIN and BELTWAY 8 nightly Friday, January 25 and Saturday, January 26 from 9 PM to 5 AM. Traffic will detour right on Lumpkin to Westview, turn left at Westview to the Beltway 8 southbound frontage road to I-10 westbound.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the BELTWAY 8 northbound frontage road between I-10/KATY FREEWAY and WESTVIEW Saturday, January 26 and Sunday, January 27 from 5 AM to 5 PM. Traffic will detour to the I-10 eastbound frontage road, turn left at Gessner to Westview, turn left to the to Beltway 8 northbound frontage road.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the BELTWAY 8 southbound frontage road between WESTVIEW and I-10/KATY FREEWAY Saturday, January 26 and Sunday, January 27 from 5 AM to 5 PM. Traffic will detour right on Westview to Brittmoore, turn left at Brittmoore to the I-10 westbound frontage road, U-turn at Wilcrest to the I-10 eastbound frontage road to Beltway 8 southbound.
CONTRACTS E1 & E2 (BETWEEN BELTWAY 8 and I-610) CLOSURES
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the northbound and southbound CHIMNEY ROCK/WIRT RD from 9 PM, Friday, January 25 to 5 AM, Monday, January 28. Northbound traffic will detour to the I-10 eastbound frontage road and u-turn at the signalized intersection at Antoine to the I-10 westbound frontage road to northbound Wirt. Southbound traffic will detour to the I-10 westbound frontage road, u-turn at the signalized intersection at Bingle/Voss Rd to the I-10 eastbound frontage road to Chimney Rock.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of northbound and southbound SILBER at I-10/KATY FREEWAY on Saturday, January 26 from 4:30 AM to 9 PM. Northbound traffic will detour to the I-10 eastbound frontage road and U-turn at N. Post Oak to the I-10 westbound frontage road to Silber. Southbound traffic will detour to the I-10 westbound frontage road and U-turn through the signalized intersection at Antoine to the I-10 eastbound frontage road to Silber.

A Glimpse At Next Weekend’s Work...
CONTRACT C2 (DAIRY ASHFORD to east of KIRKWOOD) CLOSURES
. Left turn access between MEMORIAL and SH-6 will be restricted beginning 10 PM, Friday, February 1 until 5 AM, Monday, February 4 as contractors construct the center portion of the SH-6 lanes. Westbound traffic on Memorial destined to southbound SH-6 will detour right on SH-6 to Grisby, and U-turn to proceed southbound on SH-6. Southbound traffic on SH-6 will detour left on Grisby to Addicks-Howell, right on Addicks-Howeel to Memorial. Law enforcement will be stationed at key locations to facilitate the movement of traffic in the area.
CONTRACTS E1 & E2 (BETWEEN BELTWAY 8 and I-610) CLOSURES
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of northbound and southbound BLALOCK at I-10/KATY FREEWAY beginning 9 PM, Friday, February 1 until 5 AM, Monday, February 4. Northbound traffic will detour to the I-10 eastbound frontage road and U-turn at Campbell to the I-10 westbound frontage road to Blalock. Southbound traffic will detour to the I-10 westbound frontage road and U-turn through the signalized intersection at Bunker Hill to the I-10 eastbound frontage road to Blalock.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of northbound and southbound ANTOINE at I-10/KATY FREEWAY on Saturday, February 2 from 6 AM to 6 PM. Northbound traffic will detour to the I-10 eastbound frontage road and U-turn at Silber to the I-10 westbound frontage road to Antoine. Southbound traffic will detour to the I-10 westbound frontage road and U-turn through the signalized intersection at Chimney Rock/Wirt Rd to the I-10 eastbound frontage road to Silber.
CONTRACT G (I-610 to west of WASHINGTON) CLOSURES
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound between WASHINGTON AVE/WESTCOTT ST and I-610/WEST LOOP beginning 9 PM, Friday, February 1 until 5 AM, Monday, February 4. I-10 westbound traffic will detour to the Washington exit to Old Katy Road to the I-10 westbound frontage road and re-enter the I-10 mainlanes after Antoine.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound direct connector ramp to I-610/WEST LOOP north- and southbound beginning 9 PM, Friday, February 1 until 5 AM, Monday, February 4. I-10 westbound traffic destined to I-610 northbound will detour to Old Katy Road, to the I-610 northbound frontage road. I-10 westbound traffic destined to I-610 southbound will detour to Old Katy Road, make a left on North Post Oak to access the I-610 southbound frontage road and enter the I-610 mainlanes after Woodway.
