Below is an updated list of the scheduled closures associated with the Katy Freeway Reconstruction Program as of Friday, February 1, 2008.
CONTRACT D (I-10/BELTWAY 8 INTERCHANGE) CLOSURES
. The right lane of I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound between BELTWAY 8 and WILCREST will be closed Sunday, February 3 from 6 AM to 1 PM.
. The left lane of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound frontage road between BELTWAY 8 and WILCREST including the I-10 westbound exit ramp to Wilcrest and the I-10 westbound U-turn at Beltway 8 will be closed Sunday, February 3 from 6 AM to 1 PM.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of BELTWAY 8 southbound between WESTVIEW and I-10/KATY FREEWAY nightly beginning Monday, February 4 to Friday, February 8 from 10 PM to 5 AM. Traffic will detour at Westview
to the Beltway 8 southbound frontage road.
. There will be alternating lane closures of BELTWAY 8 northbound between I-10/KATY FREEWAY and WESTVIEW nightly beginning Monday, February 4 to Friday, February 8 from 10 PM to 5 AM.
CONTRACTS E1 & E2 (BETWEEN BELTWAY 8 and I-610) CLOSURES
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of northbound and southbound BLALOCK at I-10/KATY FREEWAY beginning 9 PM, Friday, February 1 until 5 AM, Monday, February 4. Northbound traffic will detour to the I-10 eastbound frontage road and U-turn at Campbell to the I-10 westbound frontage road to Blalock. Southbound traffic will detour to the I-10 westbound frontage road and U-turn through the signalized intersection at Bunker Hill to the I-10 eastbound frontage road to Blalock.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of northbound and southbound ANTOINE at I-10/KATY FREEWAY on Saturday, February 2 from 6 AM to 6 PM. Northbound traffic will detour to the I-10 eastbound frontage road and U-turn at Silber to the I-10 westbound frontage road to Antoine. Southbound traffic will detour to the I-10 westbound frontage road and U-turn through the signalized intersection at Chimney Rock/Wirt Rd to the I-10 eastbound frontage road to Silber.
CONTRACT G (I-610 to west of WASHINGTON) CLOSURES
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound between WASHINGTON AVE/WESTCOTT ST and I-610/WEST LOOP beginning 9 PM, Friday, February 1 until 5 AM, Monday, February 4. I-10 westbound traffic will detour to the Washington exit to Old Katy Road to the I-10 westbound frontage road and re-enter the I-10 mainlanes after Antoine.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound direct connector ramp to I-610/WEST LOOP north- and southbound beginning 9 PM, Friday, February 1 until 5 AM, Monday, February 4.
I-10 westbound traffic destined to I-610 northbound will detour to Old Katy Road, to the I-610 northbound frontage road. I-10 westbound traffic destined to I-610 southbound will detour to Old Katy Road, make a left on North Post Oak to access the I-610 southbound frontage road and enter the I-610 mainlanes after Woodway.
The I-10/Katy HOV lane will be closed Saturday, February 2 from 5 AM to 8 PM.

A Glimpse At Next Weekend’s Work...
CONTRACT C2 (DAIRY ASHFORD to east of KIRKWOOD) CLOSURES
. Left turn access between MEMORIAL and SH-6 will be restricted beginning 10 PM, Friday, February 8 until 5 AM, Monday, February 11 as contractors construct the center portion of the SH-6 lanes. Westbound traffic on Memorial destined to southbound SH-6 will detour right on SH-6 to Grisby, and U-turn to proceed southbound on SH-6. Southbound traffic on SH-6 will detour left on Grisby to Addicks-Howell, right on Addicks-Howell to Memorial. Law enforcement will be stationed at key locations to facilitate the movement of traffic in the area.
CONTRACTS E1 & E2 (BETWEEN BELTWAY 8 and I-610) CLOSURES
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of northbound and southbound CAMPBELL at I-10/KATY FREEWAY from 9 PM, Friday, February 8 until 5 AM, Monday, February 11. Northbound traffic will detour to the I-10 eastbound frontage road to u-turn through the signalized intersection at Bingle/Voss to the I-10 westbound frontage road to Campbell. Southbound traffic will detour to the I-10 westbound frontage road to u-turn at the signalized intersection at Blalock/Echo Lane to the I-10 eastbound frontage road to Campbell.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of northbound and southbound CHIMNEY ROCK/WIRT RD. at I-10/KATY FREEWAY from 9 PM, Friday, February 8 until 5 AM, Monday, February 11. Northbound traffic will detour to the I-10 eastbound frontage road to u-turn at the signalized intersection at Antoine to the I-10 westbound frontage road to access Wirt. Southbound traffic will detour to the I-10 westbound frontage road to u-turn at the signalized intersection at Bingle/Voss to the I-10 westbound frontage road to Chimney Rock.
. The inside lane of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound frontage road between BINGLE/VOSS RD. and CAMPBELL will be closed Saturday, February 9 from 6 AM to 6 PM.
