Notice Regarding Weekend SH-6 Construction Activities

Drivers on SH-6 near the I-10/Katy Freeway will notice two areas of major construction over the course of this weekend. Beginning 10 PM, Friday, February 8 until 5 AM, Monday, February 11 Williams Brothers Construction (WB) will be completing work near the intersections of Memorial at SH-6 and Park Row at SH-6 which will likely cause minor traffic delays. Closures related to this work are below:
Left turn access between MEMORIAL and SH-6 will be restricted as contractors construct the center portion of the SH-6 lanes. Law enforcement will be stationed at key locations to facilitate the movement of traffic in the area.
• Westbound traffic on Memorial destined to southbound SH-6 will detour right on SH-6 to Grisby, and U-turn to proceed southbound on SH-6.
• Southbound traffic on SH-6 destined eastbound on Memorial will detour left on
Grisby to Addicks-Howell, right on Addicks-Howell to Memorial.
Access to Park Row on the east side of SH-6 will be closed as contractors complete the construction of the new intersection.
• Northbound traffic on SH-6 destined to Park Row will detour right on Old Katy Road to Park and Ride Drive to access Park Row.
• Southbound traffic on SH-6 destined to Park Row will proceed to the I-10/Katy Freeway eastbound frontage road, and turn left onto the new SH-6 northbound frontage road and make a right on Old Katy Road to Park and Ride Drive to access Park Row.
• Traffic destined to I-10/Katy Freeway eastbound from Park Row will proceed west on Old Katy Road to SH-6, turn right to Park Row, turn left on Park Row to Park Ten, and turn left to the I-10/Katy Freeway eastbound frontage road.
• Traffic destined to I-10/Katy Freeway westbound from Park Row will proceed right on Park and Ride Drive to the I-10/Katy Freeway westbound frontage road.
