Below is an updated list of the scheduled closures associated with the Katy Freeway Reconstruction Program as of Friday, February 8, 2008.
CONTRACT C1 (SH 6 to east of ELDRIDGE) CLOSURES
. Left turn access between MEMORIAL and SH-6 will be restricted as contractors construct the center portion of the SH-6 lanes. Westbound traffic on Memorial destined to southbound SH-6 will detour right on SH-6 to Grisby, and U-turn to proceed southbound on SH-6. Southbound traffic on SH-6 destined eastbound on Memorial will detour left on Grisby to Addicks-Howell, right on Addicks-Howell to Memorial. Law enforcement will be stationed at key locations to facilitate the movement of traffic in the area.
. Access to Park Row on the east side of SH-6 will be closed as contractors complete the construction of the new intersection. Northbound traffic on SH-6 destined to Park Row will detour right on Old Katy Road to Park and Ride Drive to access Park Row. Southbound traffic on SH-6 destined to Park Row will proceed to the I-10/Katy Freeway eastbound frontage road, and turn left onto the new SH-6 northbound frontage road and make a right on Old Katy Road to Park and Ride Drive to access Park Row. Traffic destined to I-10/Katy Freeway eastbound from Park Row will proceed west on Old Katy Road to SH-6, turn right to Park Row, turn left on Park Row to Park Ten, and turn left to the I-10/Katy Freeway eastbound frontage road. Traffic destined to I-10/Katy Freeway westbound from Park Row will proceed right on Park and Ride Drive to the I-10/Katy Freeway westbound frontage road.
CONTRACT D (I-10/BELTWAY 8 INTERCHANGE) CLOSURES
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of BELTWAY 8 southbound between WESTVIEW and I-10/KATY FREEWAY nightly Friday, February 8 until Monday, February 11 from 10 PM to 5 AM. Traffic will detour at Westview to the Beltway 8 southbound frontage road.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of BELTWAY 8 northbound between MEMORIAL and WESTVIEW nightly Friday, February 8 until Monday, February 11 from 10 PM to 5 AM. Traffic will detour at Memorial to the Beltway 8 northbound frontage road. Access to I-10/Katy Freeway east- and westbound via the Beltway 8 northbound direct connector ramps will remain open.
. The Beltway 8 southbound frontage road flyover bridge will be closed Monday, February 11 from 9 AM to 3 PM.
CONTRACTS E1 & E2 (BETWEEN BELTWAY 8 and I-610) CLOSURES
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of northbound and southbound CAMPBELL at I-10/KATY FREEWAY from 9 PM, Friday, February 8 until 5 AM, Monday, February 11. Northbound traffic will detour to the I-10 eastbound frontage road to u-turn through the signalized intersection at Bingle/Voss to the I-10 westbound frontage road to Campbell. Southbound traffic will detour to the I-10 westbound frontage road to u-turn at the signalized intersection at Blalock/Echo Lane to the I-10 eastbound frontage road to Campbell.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of northbound and southbound CHIMNEY ROCK/WIRT RD. at I-10/KATY FREEWAY from 9 PM, Friday, February 8 until 5 AM, Monday, February 11. Northbound traffic will detour to the I-10 eastbound frontage road to u-turn at the signalized intersection at Antoine to the I-10 westbound frontage road to access Wirt. Southbound traffic will detour to the I-10 westbound frontage road to u-turn at the signalized intersection at Bingle/Voss to the I-10 westbound frontage road to Chimney Rock.
. The inside lane of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound frontage road between BINGLE/VOSS RD. and CAMPBELL will be closed Saturday, February 9 from 6 AM to 6 PM.
CONTRACT G (I-610 to west of WASHINGTON) CLOSURES
. The outside lane of I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound between WASHINGTON AVE/WESTCOTT ST. and I-610/WEST LOOP including the entrance ramp from Washington will be closed daily Saturday, February 9 and Sunday, February 10 from 7 AM to 7 PM. Detour to the Washington exit to Old Katy Road and continue on the westbound frontage road to the mainlanes.
. The outside lane of I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound between WASHINGTON AVE./WESTCOTT ST. and I-610/WEST LOOP will be closed nightly Monday, February 11 through Thursday, February 14 from 9 PM to 5 AM.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound entrance ramp from WASHINGTON AVE./WESTCOTT ST. nightly Monday, February 11 through Thursday, February 14 from 9 PM to 5 AM. Traffic should detour by making a u-turn to the I-10 eastbound frontage road, u-turn at the signalized intersection at T C Jester, and enter the I-10 westbound mainlanes.

. There will be alternating lane closures on the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound frontage road between GESSNER and BUNKER HILL beginning 9 AM, Wednesday, February 13 until 9 PM, Friday, February 15.
. Williams Brothers Construction will be performing a traffic switch on the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound mainlanes beginning 9 PM, Friday, February 15 until 6 PM, Sunday, February 17. This will require alternating eastbound lane closures and multiple entrance and exit ramp closures. More details will be provided in the upcoming week.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of northbound and southbound ANTOINE at I-10/KATY FREEWAY beginning 9 PM, Friday, February 15 until 5 AM, Monday, February 18. Northbound traffic should detour to the I-10 eastbound frontage road and u-turn at the signalized intersection at Silber to the I-10 westbound frontage road to Antoine. Southbound traffic should detour to the I-10 westbound frontage road and u-turn at the signalized intersection at Chimney Rock/Wirt Rd. to the I-10 eastbound frontage road to Antoine.
