Upcoming Katy Freeway Program Closures |

Below is an updated list of the scheduled closures associated with the Katy Freeway Reconstruction Program as of Friday, February 15, 2008.
CONTRACT D (I-10/BELTWAY 8 INTERCHANGE) CLOSURES
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the BELTWAY 8 northbound and southbound direct connector ramps to I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound beginning 10 PM, Friday, February 15 until 6 PM, Sunday, February 17. Traffic will detour via the I-10 westbound direct connector ramp, exit Kirkwood and U-turn to the I-10 eastbound frontage road to enter the freeway at the entrance ramp from Kirkwood.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of BELTWAY 8 southbound between WESTVIEW and I-10/KATY FREEWAY Saturday, February 16 and Sunday, February 17 from 5 AM to 7 PM. Traffic will detour at Westview to the Beltway 8 southbound frontage road.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of BELTWAY 8 northbound between MEMORIAL and WESTVIEW Saturday, February 16 and Sunday, February 17 from 5 AM to 7 PM. Traffic will detour at Memorial to the Beltway 8 northbound frontage road. Access to I-10/Katy Freeway east- and westbound via the Beltway 8 northbound direct connector ramps will remain open.
. The BELTWAY 8 southbound frontage road between WESTVIEW and I-10/KATY FREEWAY including the Beltway 8 southbound frontage road flyover bridge will be closed nightly Monday, February 18 and Tuesday, February 19 from 9 PM to 5 AM. Detour right on Westview to Brittmoore to the I-10 westbound frontage road.
. The I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound frontage road between BELTWAY 8 and the WILCREST exit ramp will be closed nightly Monday, February 18 and Tuesday, February 19 from 9 PM to 5 AM. Traffic will detour to the Beltway 8 northbound frontage road to Westview, make a left on Westview to Brittmoore to the I-10 westbound frontage road.
CONTRACTS E1 & E2 (BETWEEN BELTWAY 8 and I-610) CLOSURES
. The I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound entrance ramps between BELTWAY 8 and CAMPBELL will be closed beginning 8 PM, Friday, February 15 until 6 PM, Sunday, February 17. Kirkwood will be the final entrance to I-10 eastbound between Beltway 8 and Campbell. Motorists destined to Bunker Hill, Blalock and Campbell should use the Gessner exit ramp. Traffic destined to Bingle and Wirt Rd will be detoured to exit at Antoine and U-turn to the I-10 westbound frontage road.
. The I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound exit ramps between BELTWAY 8 and CAMPBELL will be closed beginning 9 PM, Friday, February 15 until 6 PM, Sunday, February 17. Gessner will be the final exit from I-10 eastbound between Beltway 8 and Campbell. Detour to the Antoine exit ramp.
. One alternating lane of I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound between BELTWAY 8 and CAMPBELL will be closed from 9 PM, Friday, February 15 through 6 PM, Sunday, February 17.
. The Gessner entrance ramp to the I-10/KATY FREEWAY HOV lane will be closed Sunday, February 17 from 5 AM until 6 PM.

CONTRACTS E1 & E2 (BETWEEN BELTWAY 8 and I-610) CLOSURES
. The I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound exit ramp to ANTOINE will close 9 PM, Thursday, February until further notice. Traffic should detour to the Bingle/Voss Rd. exit ramp to the I-10 eastbound frontage road.
CONTRACT G (I-610 to west of WASHINGTON) CLOSURES
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound between I-610/WEST LOOP and WASHINGTON AVE. /WESTCOTT ST. beginning 9 PM, Friday, February 22 until 5 AM, Monday, February 25. More details regarding detours and associated closures will be provided in the upcoming week.
