Below is an updated list of the scheduled closures associated with the Katy Freeway Reconstruction Program as of Friday, February 22, 2008.
CONTRACT C1 (SH 6 to east of ELDRIDGE) CLOSURES
. Access to Park Row on the west side of SH-6 will be closed beginning 10 PM, Friday, February 22 until 5 AM, Monday, February 25. Northbound and southbound traffic on SH-6 destined to westbound Park Row will detour to the I-10 westbound frontage road and turn right on Memorial Brook to access Park Row. Park Row traffic destined for SH-6 will detour west on Park Row to southbound Park Ten to the I-10/Katy Freeway eastbound frontage road to access SH-6.
CONTRACT C2 (DAIRY ASHFORD to east of KIRKWOOD) CLOSURES
. The I-10/KATY FREEWAY U-turns at DAIRY ASHFORD will be closed effective Monday, February 25 for 3 weeks as contractors complete construction activities at this intersection.
CONTRACT D (I-10/BELTWAY 8 INTERCHANGE) CLOSURES
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of BELTWAY 8 southbound between WESTVIEW and I-10/KATY FREEWAY beginning 10 PM, Friday, February 22 until NOON, Saturday, February 23. Traffic will exit at Westview, detour right to Brittmoore, left at Brittmoore to the I-10 westbound frontage road, U-turn at Wilcrest to the I-10 eastbound frontage road to Beltway 8 southbound.
. The I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound exit ramp to BELTWAY 8 will be closed nightly Friday, February 22 and Saturday, February 23 from 9 PM to 5 AM. Detour to exit at Wilcrest, U-turn to the I-10 eastbound frontage road to Beltway 8.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the BELTWAY 8 southbound frontage road between WESTVIEW and I-10/KATY FREEWAY including the Beltway 8 southbound frontage road flyover bridge nightly beginning Monday, February 25 and Tuesday, February 26 from 9 PM to 5 AM. Detour right on Westview to Brittmoore to the I-10 westbound frontage road.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound frontage road between BELTWAY 8 and the exit ramp to WILCREST nightly beginning Monday, February 25 and Tuesday, February 26 from 9 PM to 5 AM. Detour to the Beltway 8 northbound frontage road to Westview, turn left on Westview to Brittmoore to the I-10 westbound frontage road.
CONTRACTS E1 & E2 (BETWEEN BELTWAY 8 and I-610) CLOSURES
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of northbound and southbound BUNKER HILL at I-10/KATY FREEWAY Saturday, February 23 from 6 AM to 9 PM. Northbound traffic will detour to the I-10 eastbound frontage road to Blalock/Echo Lane, U-turn at the signalized intersection to the I-10 westbound frontage road to Bunker Hill. Southbound traffic will detour to the I-10 westbound frontage road to Gessner, U-turn at the signalized intersection to the I-10 eastbound frontage road to Bunker Hill.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of northbound and southbound ANTOINE at I-10/KATY FREEWAY nightly Tuesday, February 26 and Thursday, February 28 from 9 PM to 5 AM. Northbound traffic will detour to the I-10 eastbound frontage road, U-turn through the signalized intersection at Silber to the I-10 westbound frontage road to Antoine. Southbound traffic will detour to the I-10 westbound frontage road, U-turn through the signalized intersection at Chimney Rock/Wirt Rd. to the I-10 eastbound frontage road to Antoine.
CONTRACT G (I-610 to west of WASHINGTON) CLOSURES
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound between I-610/WEST LOOP and WASHINGTON AVE./WESTCOTT ST. beginning 9 PM, Friday, February 22 until NOON, Sunday, February 24. I-10/Katy Freeway eastbound will be detoured via the I-10/Katy Freeway eastbound direct connector ramp to I-610/West Loop northbound to continue to I-610/North Loop, to I-45/North Freeway southbound, to access I-10/East. Alternately, I-10/Katy Freeway eastbound traffic may detour via the I-10/Katy Freeway eastbound direct connector ramp to I-610/West Loop southbound to US 59/Southwest Freeway, and travel north to access I-10/East.
. The I-610/WEST LOOP northbound direct connector to I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound will be closed beginning 9 PM Friday, February 22 until NOON, Sunday, February 24. Continue northbound to I-610/North Loop, to I-45/North Freeway southbound, to access I-10/East.
. The I-610/WEST LOOP southbound direct connector to I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound will be closed beginning 9 PM Friday, February 22 until NOON, Sunday, February 24. Detour to exit at Old Katy Road; make a left on Old Katy Road and a right on Washington to access I-10 eastbound.
. The SILBER entrance ramp tunnel to I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound will be closed beginning 9 PM, Friday, February 22 until NOON, Sunday, February 24. Detour via the I-10 eastbound frontage road and turn left on North Post Oak, right on Old Katy Road and right on Washington to access I-10 eastbound.
. The WOODWAY entrance ramp to I-610/WEST LOOP northbound to I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound will be closed beginning 9 PM, Friday, February 22 until NOON, Sunday, February 24. Continue northbound on the I-610/West Loop frontage road and make a right on Memorial, turn left on Westcott to I-10 eastbound.

. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of northbound and southbound SILBER at I-10/KATY FREEWAY beginning 9 PM, Friday, February 29 until 5 AM, Monday, March 3. Northbound traffic will detour to the I-10 eastbound frontage road, turn left on N. Post Oak and left on the I-10 westbound frontage road to Silber. Southbound traffic will detour to the I-10 westbound frontage road, U-turn through the signalized intersection at Antoine to the I-10 eastbound frontage road to Silber.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of northbound and southbound BLALOCK/ECHO LANE at I-10/KATY FREEWAY on Saturday, March 1 from 6 AM to 6 PM. Northbound traffic will detour to the I-10 eastbound frontage road, U-turn at the signalized intersection at Campbell to the I-10 westbound frontage road to Blalock. Southbound traffic will detour to the I-10 eastbound frontage road, U-turn at the signalized intersection at Bunker Hill to the I-10 eastbound frontage road to Echo Lane.
