LANE CLOSURES ON I-10/KATY FREEWAY TO SWITCH TRAFFIC ONTO THE NEW EASTBOUND MAINLANES
This weekend, Texas Department of Transportation contractor Balfour Beatty will shift I-10 eastbound mainlane traffic onto new pavement between Eldridge and Kirkwood and open the new Eldridge entrance ramp. In order to perform this traffic switch, alternate lanes of I-10 eastbound including the corresponding entrance and exit ramps in this area will be closed beginning 9 PM, Friday, February 29 until 9 AM, Saturday, March 1.
In preparation for this traffic switch, the I-10/Katy Freeway eastbound exit ramp to Dairy Ashford will close at 9 AM, Friday, February 29 and remain closed until May 2008 while the new permanent exit ramp is constructed. Drivers destined to Dairy Ashford will have to exit Eldridge to the I-10 eastbound frontage road or exit Kirkwood and u-turn at the signalized intersection.
