Below is an updated list of the scheduled closures associated with the Katy Freeway Reconstruction Program as of Friday, February 29, 2008.
CONTRACT C1 (SH 6 to east of ELDRIDGE) CLOSURES
. One outside lane of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound mainlanes between ELDRIDGE and SH-6 will be closed Saturday, March 1 from 5 AM to 10 AM.
CONTRACT C2 (DAIRY ASHFORD to east of KIRKWOOD) CLOSURES
. Alternate lanes of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound mainlanes between ELDRDIGE and KIRKWOOD including the corresponding entrance and exit ramps will be closed beginning 9 PM, Friday, February 29 until 9 AM, Saturday, March 1 as the contractor switches traffic to new pavement.
. The I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound exit ramp to DAIRY ASHFORD will close 7 PM, Friday, February 29 until May 2008. Drivers destined to Dairy Ashford will have to exit Eldridge to the I-10 eastbound frontage road or exit Kirkwood and u-turn at the signalized intersection.
CONTRACT D (I-10/BELTWAY 8 INTERCHANGE) CLOSURES
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the BELTWAY 8 southbound frontage road between WESTVIEW and I-10/KATY FREEWAY including the Beltway 8 southbound frontage road flyover bridge overnight beginning 9 PM, Friday, February 29 until 5 AM, Saturday, March 1. Detour right on Westview to Brittmoore to the I-10 westbound frontage road.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound frontage road between BELTWAY 8 and the exit ramp to WILCREST overnight beginning 9 PM, Friday, February 29 until 5 AM, Saturday, March 1. Detour to the Beltway 8 northbound frontage road to Westview, turn left on Westview to Brittmoore to the I-10 westbound frontage road.
. The I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound exit ramp to BELTWAY 8 will be closed overnight beginning 10 PM, Sunday, March 2 until 5 AM, Monday, March 3. Detour to exit at Wilcrest, U-turn to the I-10 eastbound frontage road to Beltway 8.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound between GESSNER and WILCREST including the I-10 westbound entrance ramp from Gessner nightly Monday, March 3 and Tuesday, March 4 from 10 PM to 5 AM. Traffic will exit at Gessner to the I-10 westbound frontage road and re-enter the mainlanes via the I-10 westbound entrance ramp from Beltway 8.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound direct connector ramp to BELTWAY 8 southbound nightly Monday, March 3 and Tuesday, March 4 from 10 PM to 5 AM. Traffic will exit at Beltway 8 to the I-10 westbound frontage road, turn left to the Beltway 8 southbound frontage road and enter the mainlanes via the Beltway 8 southbound entrance ramp from Memorial.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the BELTWAY 8 northbound frontage road at I-10/KATY FREEWAY nightly Monday, March 3 and Tuesday, March 4 from 9 PM to 5 AM. Detour to the I-10 eastbound frontage road, U-turn at Gessner to the I-10 westbound frontage road to the Beltway 8 northbound frontage road.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the BELTWAY 8 southbound frontage road at WESTVIEW nightly Monday, March 3 and Tuesday, March 4 from 9 PM to 5 AM. Detour right on Westview to Brittmoore to the I-10 westbound frontage road.
CONTRACTS E1 & E2 (BETWEEN BELTWAY 8 and I-610) CLOSURES
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of northbound and southbound SILBER at I-10/KATY FREEWAY beginning 9 PM, Friday, February 29 until 5 AM, Monday, March 3. Northbound traffic will continue on the I-10 eastbound frontage road, turn left on N. Post Oak and left on the I-10 westbound frontage road to Silber. Southbound traffic will detour to the I-10 westbound frontage road and U-turn through the signalized intersection at Antoine to the I-10 eastbound frontage road to Silber.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of northbound and southbound BLALOCK/ECHO LANE at I-10/KATY FREEWAY on Saturday, March 1 from 6 AM to 6 PM. Northbound traffic will detour to the I-10 eastbound frontage road and U-turn at the signalized intersection at Campbell to the I-10 westbound frontage road to Blalock. Southbound traffic will detour to the I-10 eastbound frontage road and U-turn at the signalized intersection at Bunker Hill to the I-10 eastbound frontage road to Echo Lane.
. Northbound and southbound ANTOINE at I-10/KATY FREEWAY will be reduced to one lane effective 6 AM, March 1 until March 31.
. One outside lane of I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound between BINGLE and ANTOINE will be closed Saturday, March 1 from 6 AM to 10 AM.
. The I-10 eastbound entrance ramp from BINGLE will be closed Saturday, March 1 from 6 AM to 6 PM.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of northbound and southbound ANTOINE at I-10/KATY FREEWAY overnight beginning 9 PM, Monday, March 3 until 5 AM, Tuesday, March 4. Northbound traffic will detour to the I-10 eastbound frontage road and U-turn through the signalized intersection at Silber to the I-10 westbound frontage road to Antoine. Southbound traffic will detour to the I-10 westbound frontage road and U-turn through the signalized intersection at Chimney Rock/Wirt Rd. to the I-10 eastbound frontage road to Antoine.

Southbound traffic will detour to the I-10 westbound frontage road and U-turn through the signalized intersection at Chimney Rock/Wirt Rd. to the I-10 eastbound frontage road to Antoine.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of BINGLE/VOSS at the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound frontage road beginning 9 PM, Friday, March 7 until Saturday, May 3. More details regarding detours will be provided in the upcoming week.
