Below is an updated list of the scheduled closures associated with the Katy Freeway Reconstruction Program as of Friday, March 14, 2008.
CONTRACT C2 (DAIRY ASHFORD to east of KIRKWOOD) CLOSURES
. The I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound exit ramp to SH-6 will be closed on Sunday, March 16 from 5 AM to 10 AM. Detour via Park Ten exit and U-turn to the I-10 eastbound frontage road to SH-6.
CONTRACT D (I-10/BELTWAY 8 INTERCHANGE) CLOSURES
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound between WILCREST and GESSNER including the I-10/HOV Lane overnight beginning 10 PM, Friday, March 14 until 5 AM, Saturday, March 15. Traffic will exit at the Beltway 8 exit ramp to the I-10 eastbound frontage road and re-enter mainlanes via the I-10 eastbound entrance ramp from Gessner.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound between GESSNER and WILCREST including the I-10 westbound entrance ramp from Gessner overnight beginning 10 PM, Friday, March 14 until 5 AM, Saturday, March 15. Detour via the Gessner exit to the I-10 westbound frontage road and re-enter the I-10 mainlanes via the entrance ramp from Beltway 8.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound direct connector to BELTWAY 8 southbound overnight beginning 10 PM, Friday, March 14 until 5 AM, Saturday, March 15. Detour via the Beltway 8 frontage road exit to the I-10 westbound frontage road to the Beltway 8 southbound frontage road and enter the Beltway 8 mainlanes via the entrance ramp from Memorial.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the BELTWAY 8 northbound frontage road between QUEENSBURY and I-10/KATY FREEWAY overnight beginning 9 PM, Friday, March 14 until 5 AM, Saturday, March 15. Detour right at Queensbury to Town and Country Way, left on Attingham to the I-10 eastbound frontage road.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the BELTWAY 8 southbound frontage road at I-10/KATY FREEWAY overnight beginning Friday, March 14 until 5 AM, Saturday, March 15. Detour right on Westview to Brittmoore to the I-10 westbound frontage road.
. Two inside lanes of BELTWAY 8 southbound between WESTVIEW and I-10/KATY FREEWAY will be closed overnight beginning 10 PM, Saturday, March 15 until 5 AM, Sunday, March 16.
. Two outside lanes of BELTWAY 8 northbound between MEMORIAL and I-10/KATY FREEWAY will be closed overnight beginning 10 PM, Sunday, March 16 until 5 AM, Monday, March 17.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound between WILCREST and GESSNER overnight beginning 10 PM, Monday, March 17 until 5 AM, Tuesday, March 18. Traffic will exit at the Beltway 8 exit ramp to the I-10 eastbound frontage road and re-enter mainlanes via the I-10 eastbound entrance ramp from Gessner.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the BELTWAY 8 northbound frontage road between QUEENSBURY and I-10/KATY FREEWAY overnight beginning 10 PM, Monday, March 17 until 5 AM, Tuesday, March 18. Detour right at Queensbury to Town and Country Way, left on Attingham to the I-10 eastbound frontage road.
CONTRACTS E1 & E2 (BETWEEN BELTWAY 8 and I-610) CLOSURES
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of northbound and southbound ANTOINE at I-10/KATY FREEWAY beginning 9 PM, Friday, March 14 through 5 AM, Monday, March 17. Northbound traffic will detour to the I-10 eastbound frontage road and U-turn through the signalized intersection at Silber to the I-10 westbound frontage road to Antoine. Southbound traffic will detour to the I-10 westbound frontage road to U-turn through the signalized intersection at Chimney Rock/Wirt Rd. to the I-10 eastbound frontage road to Antoine.
. One inside lane of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound and westbound frontage roads at ANTOINE will be closed beginning 9 PM, Friday, March 14 through 5 AM, Monday, March 17.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound exit ramp to GESSNER on Saturday, March 15 from 6 AM to 6 PM. Traffic will detour via the Beltway 8 frontage road exit and U-turn to access the I-10 eastbound frontage road to Gessner.
. The inside lane of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound frontage between BUNKER HILL and GESSNER will be closed on Saturday, March 15 and Sunday, March 16 from 6 AM to 6 PM.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of northbound and southbound SILBER at I-10/KATY FREEWAY beginning 9 PM, Monday, March 17 until 5 AM, Tuesday, March 18. Northbound traffic will detour to the I-10 eastbound frontage road, turn left on North Post Oak and left on the I-10 westbound frontage road to access Silber. Southbound traffic will detour to the I-10 westbound frontage road to U-turn through the signalized intersection at Antoine to the I-10 eastbound frontage road.
CONTRACT G (I-610 to west of WASHINGTON) CLOSURES
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound between I-610/WEST LOOP and WASHINGTON AVE./WESTCOTT ST. on Saturday, March 15 from 4 AM to 11:30 PM. I-10/Katy Freeway eastbound will be detoured via the I-10/Katy Freeway eastbound direct connector ramp to I-610/West Loop northbound to continue to I-610/North Loop and then to I-45/North Freeway southbound, to access I-10/East.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-610/WEST LOOP southbound direct connector ramp to I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound on Saturday, March 15 from 4 AM to 11:30 PM. Detour via the Old Katy Road exit, turn left on Old Katy Road and proceed to Washington to access I-10/Katy Freeway eastbound.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the SILBER entrance ramp tunnel to I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound on Saturday, March 15 from 4 AM to 11:30 PM. Detour via the I-10 eastbound frontage road and turn left on North Post Oak, turn right on Old Katy Road and turn right on Washington to access I-10/Katy Freeway eastbound.
. The WOODWAY entrance ramp to I-610/WEST LOOP northbound to I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound will be closed from 4 AM to 11:30 PM on Saturday, March 15. Detour to continue northbound to I-610/North Loop, to I-45/North Freeway southbound, to access I-10/East.
. Two inside lanes of I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound from WASHINGTON AVE./WESTCOTT ST. to I-610/WEST LOOP will be closed on Saturday, March 15 from 6 AM to NOON.

. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound on Saturday, March 22 from 4 AM to 11:30 PM. More details regarding detours and associated closures forthcoming.
