Below is an updated list of the scheduled closures associated with the Katy Freeway Reconstruction Program as of Thursday, March 20, 2008.
CONTRACT C2 (DAIRY ASHFORD to east of KIRKWOOD) CLOSURES
. The I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound entrance ramp from SH-6 and exit ramp to Park Ten will be closed on Saturday, March 22 from 5 AM to 10 AM. Detour to the next ramp.
. One outside lane of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound mainlanes will be closed Saturday, March 22 from 5 AM to 10 AM.
. There will be alternating lane closures on eastbound and westbound Grigsby at SH-6 on Friday, March 21 from 9 AM to 3P and Saturday, March 22 from 7 AM to 4 PM.
CONTRACT D (I-10/BELTWAY 8 INTERCHANGE) CLOSURES
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound between WILCREST and GESSNER including the I-10/HOV Lane overnight beginning 10 PM, Thursday, March 20 until 5 AM, Friday, March 21. Traffic will exit at the Beltway 8 exit ramp to the I-10 eastbound frontage road and re-enter mainlanes via the I-10 eastbound entrance ramp from Gessner.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound between GESSNER and WILCREST including the I-10 westbound entrance ramp from Gessner nightly Thursday, March 20 until Sunday, March 23 from 10 PM to 5 AM. Detour via the Gessner exit to the I-10 westbound frontage road and re-enter the I-10 mainlanes via the entrance ramp west of Beltway 8.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound direct connector to BELTWAY 8 southbound nightly Thursday, March 20 until Sunday, March 23 from 10 PM to 5 AM. Detour via the Beltway 8 frontage road exit to the I-10 westbound frontage road to the Beltway 8 southbound frontage road and enter the Beltway 8 mainlanes via the entrance ramp from Memorial.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the BELTWAY 8 northbound frontage road between QUEENSBURY and I-10/KATY FREEWAY nightly Thursday, March 20 until Sunday, March 23 from 10 PM to 5 AM. Detour right at Queensbury to Town and Country Way, left on Attingham to the I-10 eastbound frontage road.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the BELTWAY 8 southbound frontage road at I-10/KATY FREEWAY nightly Thursday, March 20 until Sunday, March 23 from 10 PM to 5 AM. Detour right on Westview to Brittmoore to the I-10 westbound frontage road.
CONTRACTS E1 & E2 (BETWEEN BELTWAY 8 and I-610) CLOSURES
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of northbound and southbound ANTOINE at I-10/KATY FREEWAY beginning 9 PM, Thursday, March 20 until 5 AM, Friday, March 21. Northbound traffic will detour to the I-10 eastbound frontage road and U-turn through the signalized intersection at Silber to the I-10 westbound frontage road to Antoine. Southbound traffic will detour to the I-10 westbound frontage road to U-turn through the signalized intersection at Chimney Rock/Wirt Rd. to the I-10 eastbound frontage road to Antoine.
. The I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound exit ramp to ANTOINE will permanently close at 9 PM, Thursday, March 20. Traffic should detour to the Bingle/Voss Rd. exit ramp to the I-10 eastbound frontage road. The new permanent exit ramp to Antoine and Chimney Rock/Wirt Rd will open 5 AM, Friday, March 21.
. The outside lane of I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound between CAMPBELL and ANTOINE will be closed beginning 9 PM, Thursday, March 20 until 5 AM, Friday, March 21.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of northbound and southbound CHIMNEY ROCK/WIRT RD beginning 9 PM, Friday, March 21 until 5 AM, Saturday, March 22. Northbound traffic will detour to the I-10 eastbound frontage road and u-turn at the signalized intersection at Antoine to the I-10 westbound frontage road to northbound Wirt. Southbound traffic will detour to the I-10 westbound frontage road, u-turn at the signalized intersection at Bingle/Voss Rd to the I-10 eastbound frontage road to Chimney Rock.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of northbound and southbound BLALOCK/ECHO LANE at I-10/KATY FREEWAY on Saturday, March 22 from 6 AM to 2 PM. Northbound traffic will detour to the I-10 eastbound frontage road and U-turn at the signalized intersection at Campbell to the I-10 westbound frontage road to Blalock. Southbound traffic will detour to the I-10 eastbound frontage road and U-turn at the signalized intersection at Bunker Hill to the I-10 eastbound frontage road to Echo Lane.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound exit ramp to GESSNER on Saturday, March 22 and Sunday, March 23 from 6 AM to 6 PM Traffic should exit at the Beltway 8 frontage road and U-turn to access the I-10 eastbound frontage road to Gessner.
CONTRACT G (I-610 to west of WASHINGTON) CLOSURES
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound between WASHINGTON AVE and I-610/WEST LOOP on Saturday, March 22 from 4 AM to 11:30 PM. I-10/Katy Freeway westbound traffic will be detoured to exit at Washington Avenue, to make a right and continue to Old Katy Road to access the I-10 westbound frontage road and enter the
I-10/Katy Freeway at Antoine.
. Two inside lanes of I-10/Katy Freeway eastbound will be closed between I-610/West Loop and Washington Avenue on Saturday, March 22 from 6 AM to 2 PM.
. The I-10/Katy Freeway westbound direct connector ramps to I-610/West Loop will be closed Saturday, March 22 from 4 AM to 11:30 PM. I-10 westbound traffic destined to I-610 northbound will detour to Old Katy Road, to the I-610 northbound frontage road. I-10 westbound traffic destined to I-610 southbound will detour to Old Katy Road, make a left on North Post Oak to access the I-610 southbound frontage road and enter the I-610 mainlanes after Woodway.

CONTRACT D (I-10/BELTWAY 8 INTERCHANGE) CLOSURES
. The I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound frontage road between BENINGUS and GESSNER will be closed beginning 9 PM, Friday, March 28 through 5 AM, Monday, March 31.
