Below is an updated list of the scheduled closures associated with the Katy Freeway Reconstruction Program as of Friday, March 28, 2008.
CONTRACT C2 (DAIRY ASHFORD to east of KIRKWOOD) CLOSURES
. Two inside lanes of I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound between ELDRIDGE and SH-6 will be closed Saturday, March 28 and Sunday, March 29 from 4 AM to 9 AM.
CONTRACT D (I-10/BELTWAY 8 INTERCHANGE) CLOSURES
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound between GESSNER and WILCREST and the I-10 westbound entrance ramp from Gessner beginning 10 PM, Friday, March 28 until 5 PM, Saturday, March 29. Traffic will exit at Gessner to the I-10 westbound frontage road and re-enter the mainlanes via the I-10 westbound entrance ramp west of Beltway 8.
• There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound direct connector ramp to BELTWAY 8 southbound beginning 10 PM, Friday, March 28 until 5 PM, Saturday, March 29. Traffic will exit at Beltway 8 to the I-10 westbound frontage road, turn left to the Beltway 8 southbound frontage road and enter mainlanes via the Beltway 8 southbound entrance ramp from Memorial.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the BELTWAY 8 southbound frontage road between WESTVIEW and I-10/KATY FREEWAY beginning 10 PM, Friday, March 28 until 5 PM, Saturday, March 29. Detour to the Beltway 8 southbound frontage road flyover bridge or turn right on Westview and left on Brittmoore, to access the I-10 westbound frontage road.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of BELTWAY 8 northbound frontage road at I-10/KATY FREEWAY beginning 10 PM, Friday, March 28 until 5 PM, Saturday, March 29. Detour to the I-10 eastbound frontage road, U-turn at Gessner to the I-10 westbound frontage road, and turn right onto the Beltway 8 northbound frontage road.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the BELTWAY 8 southbound frontage road between WESTVIEW and I-10/KATY FREEWAY nightly Monday, March 31 and Tuesday, April 1 from 9 PM to 5 AM. Detour to the Beltway 8 southbound frontage road flyover bridge or turn right on Westview and left on Brittmoore, to access the I-10 westbound frontage road.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of BELTWAY 8 northbound frontage road at I-10/KATY FREEWAY beginning 9 PM, Monday, March 31 until 5 AM, Tuesday, April 1. Detour to the I-10 eastbound frontage road, U-turn at Gessner to the I-10 westbound frontage road, and turn right onto the Beltway 8 northbound frontage road.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound frontage road between LUMPKIN and BELTWAY 8 nightly Monday, March 31 and Tuesday, April 1 from 9 PM to 5 AM. Detour right on Lumpkin to Westview, turn left on Westview to Brittmoore and turn left to access the I-10 westbound frontage road.
CONTRACTS E1 & E2 (BETWEEN BELTWAY 8 and I-610) CLOSURES
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound entrance ramp to BLALOCK/ECHO LANE on Saturday, March 29 from 7 AM to 6 PM. Traffic should detour on the I-10 westbound frontage road and enter the mainlanes at the Beltway 8 entrance ramp.
. The inside lane of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound frontage road between BLALOCK/ECHO LANE and BUNKER HILL will be closed Saturday, March 29 between 6 AM and 6 PM.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of HUNTERS CREEK DRIVE at the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound frontage road beginning 5 AM, Tuesday, April 1 until 5 AM, Monday, April 7. Traffic should detour to Hickory Hillow.
CONTRACT G (I-610 to west of WASHINGTON) CLOSURES
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound entrance ramp from WASHINGTON AVE/WESTCOTT ST on Saturday, March 29 from 7 AM to 5 PM. Detour to I-10 eastbound to T.C. Jester, and u-turn to re-enter the I-10 mainlanes.

A Glimpse at Next Weekend's Work...
CONTRACT D (I-10/BELTWAY 8 INTERCHANGE) CLOSURES
. Effective 10 PM, Friday, April 4, the I-10/Katy Freeway westbound direct connector ramp to Beltway 8-West southbound will be closed for reconstruction until August 2008.
CONTRACTS E1 & E2 (BETWEEN BELTWAY 8 and I-610) CLOSURES
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound frontage road between BENINGUS and GESSNER beginning 9 PM, Friday, April 4 until 5 AM, Monday, April 7. Traffic will detour to the I-10 eastbound mainlanes to the Bunker Hill exit ramp, U-turn through the signalized intersection to the I-10 westbound frontage road to Gessner.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of FROSTWOOD at the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound frontage road beginning 5 AM, Monday, April 7 until 9 PM, Tuesday, April 8. Traffic will detour via the I-10 eastbound frontage road, turn right at Gessner, turn right at Kingsride to Frostwood.
