Below is an updated list of the scheduled closures associated with the Katy Freeway Reconstruction Program as of Friday, April 11, 2008.
CONTRACT C1 (SH 6 to east of ELDRIDGE) CLOSURES
. The inside lane of northbound and southbound SH-6 between MEMORIAL and PARK ROW will be closed daily from 9 AM to 3 PM until Monday, May 5.
CONTRACT C2 (DAIRY ASHFORD to east of KIRKWOOD) CLOSURES
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound between DAIRY ASHFORD and KIRKWOOD beginning 10 PM, Saturday, April 12 until NOON, Sunday, April 13. Detour to the I-10 eastbound frontage road.
CONTRACT D (I-10/BELTWAY 8 INTERCHANGE) CLOSURES
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound between GESSNER and WILCREST and the I-10 westbound entrance ramp from Gessner nightly Friday, April 11 through Thursday, April 17 from 9 PM to 5 AM. Traffic will exit at Gessner to the I-10 westbound frontage road and re-enter the mainlanes via the I-10 westbound entrance ramp west of Beltway 8.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound between WILCREST and GESSNER and the I-10/HOV lane nightly Friday, April 11 through Thursday, April 17 from 9 PM to 5 AM. Traffic will detour via the Beltway 8 exit ramp to the I-10 eastbound frontage road and re-enter the mainlanes via the I-10 eastbound entrance ramp west of Gessner.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of BELTWAY 8 northbound frontage road between QUEENSBURY and I-10/KATY FREEWAY nightly Friday, April 11 through Thursday, April 17 from 9 PM to 5 AM. Detour right on Queensbury, turn left on Attingham to the I-10 eastbound frontage road, U-turn at Gessner to the I-10 westbound frontage road, and turn right onto the Beltway 8 northbound frontage road.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound frontage road between BELTWAY 8 and TOWN AND COUNTRY LANE nightly Friday, April 11 through Thursday, April 17 from 9 PM to 5 AM. Detour to the Beltway 8 southbound frontage road and U-turn at Kimberley to the Beltway 8 northbound frontage road, turn right on Queensbury, turn left on Attingham to the I-10 eastbound frontage road.
CONTRACTS E1 & E2 (BETWEEN BELTWAY 8 and I-610) CLOSURES
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of northbound and southbound GESSNER at I-10/KATY FREEWAY on Saturday, April 12 from 6 AM to NOON. Northbound traffic will detour to the I-10 eastbound frontage road to U-turn through the signalized intersection to the I-10 westbound frontage road to Gessner. Southbound traffic will detour to the I-10 westbound frontage road to U-turn at Beltway 8 to the I-10 eastbound frontage road to Gessner.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of northbound and southbound CHIMNEY ROCK/WIRT ROAD at I-10/KATY FREEWAY beginning 5 AM, Saturday, April 12 until 6 PM, Sunday, April 13. Northbound traffic will detour to the I-10 eastbound frontage road, U-turn through the signalized intersection at Antoine to the I-10 westbound frontage to access Wirt Rd. Southbound traffic will detour to the I-10 westbound frontage road, U-turn at Bingle/Voss Road to the I-10 eastbound frontage road to access Chimney Rock.
. There will be alternating lane closures along the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound frontage road between ANTOINE and NORTH POST OAK on Saturday, April 12 from 5 AM to 6 PM.

A Glimpse at Next Weekend's Work...
CONTRACT C1 (SH 6 to east of ELDRIDGE) CLOSURES
. There will be TOTAL CLOSURE of I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound and westbound between DAIRY ASHFORD and PARK TEN beginning 10 PM, Friday, April 18 until 5 AM, Monday, April 21 as contractors hang beams for the new SH-6 overpass bridge. Detour information will be released next week.
CONTRACT D (I-10/BELTWAY 8 INTERCHANGE) CLOSURES
