Upcoming Katy Freeway Program Closures

Below is an updated list of the scheduled closures associated with the Katy Freeway Reconstruction Program as of Friday, April 18, 2008.
CONTRACT C1 (SH 6 to east of ELDRIDGE) CLOSURES
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound and westbound mainlanes at SH-6 beginning 10 PM, Friday, April 18 through 5 AM, Monday, April 21. Detour to the SH-6 exit ramps to the respective frontage roads. Law enforcement will be stationed at key locations to direct traffic.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of northbound and southbound SH-6 at I-10/KATY FREEWAY beginning 9 PM, Friday, April 18 through 5 AM, Monday, April 21. Northbound traffic will detour to the I-10 eastbound frontage road to U-turn at Eldridge to the I-10 westbound frontage road to northbound SH-6. Southbound traffic will detour to the I-10 westbound frontage road to U-turn at Park Ten to the I-10 westbound frontage road to southbound SH-6. Law enforcement will be stationed at key locations to direct traffic.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound to westbound and westbound to eastbound U-turns at SH-6 beginning 9 PM, Friday, April 18 through 5 AM, Monday, April 21.
. One inside lane of northbound and southbound SH-6 between MEMORIAL and PARK ROW will be closed daily from 9 AM to 3 PM and nightly from 8 PM to 5 AM through Monday, May 5.
. The right lane of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound frontage road at SH-6 will be closed daily from 9 AM to 3 PM through Monday, May 5.
CONTRACTS E1 & E2 (BETWEEN BELTWAY 8 and I-610) CLOSURES
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound exit ramp to GESSNER on Saturday, April 19 from 6 AM to 3 PM. Detour to the Beltway 8 frontage road exit, U-turn at Beltway 8 to the I-10 eastbound frontage road to access northbound and southbound Gessner.
. One alternate lane of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound frontage road between N. POST OAK RD and CAMPBELL RD will be closed daily Saturday, April 19 and Sunday, April 20 from 6 AM to 6 PM.
. One inside lane of northbound and southbound CHIMNEY ROCK at the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound frontage road will be closed daily Saturday, April 19 and Sunday, April 20 from 6 AM to 6 PM.
