Below is an updated list of the scheduled closures associated with the Katy Freeway Reconstruction Program as of Friday, April 25, 2008.
CONTRACT C1 (SH 6 to east of ELDRIDGE) CLOSURES
• Eastbound and westbound Park Row at SH-6 will be closed Saturday, April 26 from 7 AM to 3 PM. Eastbound traffic will detour right on SH-6 to the I-10 eastbound frontage road and turn left, U-turn at Eldridge to the I-10 westbound frontage road to SH-6. Westbound traffic will detour right on SH-6 to Clay Road and turn left, proceed to Barker Cypress and turn left to the I-10 westbound frontage road.
• The I-10/Katy Freeway eastbound frontage road at SH-6 will be closed daily Saturday, April 26 and Sunday, April 27 from 5 AM to 5 PM. Traffic will detour to SH-6 southbound, turn left on Grisby to the SH-6 northbound frontage road to the I-10 eastbound frontage road. Law enforcement will be stationed in the area to facilitate the movement of traffic in this area.
• Northbound SH-6 at I-10/Katy Freeway will be closed daily Saturday, April 26 and Sunday, April 27 from 5 AM to 5 PM. Traffic will detour to the I-10 eastbound frontage road, U-turn at Eldridge to the I-10 westbound frontage road to SH-6.
• One inside lane of the SH-6 northbound frontage road between Memorial and Park Row will be closed daily Saturday, April 26 and Sunday April 27 from 7 AM to 3 PM.
• There will be alternating lane closures on the I-10/Katy Freeway westbound frontage road between Eldridge and SH-6 on Sunday, April 27 from 5 AM to 5 PM.
CONTRACT D (I-10/BELTWAY 8 INTERCHANGE) CLOSURES
. One outside lane of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound frontage road between BELTWAY 8-WEST and TOWN & COUNTRY BLVD will be closed on Saturday, April 26 from 8 AM to 8 PM.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the BELTWAY 8 northbound frontage road at QUEENSBURY on Saturday, April 26 from 8 AM to 8 PM. Detour right on Queensbury, turn left on Attingham to the I-10 eastbound frontage road and proceed to Gessner, U-turn to the I-10 westbound frontage road, to the Beltway 8 northbound frontage road.
CONTRACT G (I-610 to west of WASHINGTON) CLOSURES
. Two outside lanes of I-10/Katy Freeway westbound between Washington and I-610/West Loop and the I-10 westbound entrance ramp from Washington will be closed Saturday, April 26 from 7 AM to 5 PM. Detour to I-10 eastbound and take the TC Jester exit, u-turn at TC Jester, and re-enter I-10 westbound via the entrance ramp from TC Jester.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound between I-610/WEST LOOP and WASHINGTON AVE beginning 4 AM, Sunday, April 27 until 2 AM, Monday, April 28. I-10/Katy Freeway eastbound will be detoured via the I-10/Katy Freeway eastbound direct connector ramp to I-610/West Loop northbound to continue to I-610/North Loop, to I-45/North Freeway southbound, to access I-10/East. Alternately, I-10/Katy Freeway eastbound traffic may detour via the I-10/Katy Freeway eastbound direct connector ramp to I-610/West Loop southbound to US 59/Southwest Freeway, and travel north to access I-10/ East.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-610/WEST LOOP northbound direct connector to I-10/KATY FREEWAY beginning 4 AM, Sunday, April 27 until 2 AM, Monday, April 28. Continue northbound to I-610/North Loop, to I-45/North Freeway southbound, to access I-10/ East.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-610/WEST LOOP southbound direct connector to I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound beginning 4 AM, Sunday, April 27 until 2 AM, Monday, April 28. Detour to exit at Old Katy Road, turn left on Old Katy Road and proceed to Washington to access I-10/Katy Freeway eastbound.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound entrance ramp from SILBER beginning 4 AM, Sunday, April 27 until 2 AM, Monday, April 28. Detour via the I-10 eastbound frontage road and turn left on North Post Oak, turn right on Old Katy Road and turn right on Washington to access I-10/Katy Freeway eastbound.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the WOODWAY entrance ramp to I-610/WEST LOOP northbound beginning 4 AM, Sunday, April 27 until 2 AM, Monday, April 28. Continue northbound on the I-610/West Loop frontage road and turn right on Memorial and turn left on Westcott to I-10/Katy Freeway eastbound.

A Glimpse at Next Weekend's Work...
CONTRACT D (I-10/BELTWAY 8 INTERCHANGE) CLOSURES
. The I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound direct connector ramp to BELTWAY 8 southbound will be closed beginning 10 PM, Friday, May 2 until October 2008. Detour information will be released next week.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of northbound and southbound BELTWAY 8 between MEMORIAL and WESTVIEW beginning 7 AM, Saturday, May 3 until 5 AM, Monday, May 5.
