Upcoming Katy Freeway Program Closures |

Below is an updated list of the scheduled closures associated with the Katy Freeway Reconstruction Program as of Friday, May 16, 2008.
CONTRACT C1 (SH 6 to east of ELDRIDGE) CLOSURES
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of PARK ROW at SH-6 on Saturday, May 17 from 7 AM to 3 PM. Westbound traffic will detour to northbound SH-6, turn left on Clay to Barker Cypress, turn left on Barker Cypress to Park Row. Eastbound traffic will detour to southbound SH-6 and U-turn at the I-10 eastbound frontage road to northbound SH-6 to Park Row.
. Two lanes of northbound SH-6 between the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound frontage road and PARK ROW will be closed Sunday, May 18 from 7 AM to 3 PM.
. One inside lane of southbound SH-6 between GRIGSBY and MEMORIAL will be closed nightly beginning Sunday, May 18 through Tuesday, May 20 from 7 PM to 5 AM.
CONTRACT C2 (DAIRY ASHFORD to east of KIRKWOOD) CLOSURES
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound mainlanes between ELDRIDGE and KIRKWOOD overnight beginning 9 PM, Saturday, May 17 until 8 PM, Sunday, May 18. Traffic will detour via the Eldridge exit ramp to the I-10 eastbound frontage road and re-enter the I-10 eastbound mainlanes from Kirkwood.
CONTRACT D (I-10/BELTWAY 8 INTERCHANGE) CLOSURES
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound mainlanes between WILCREST and GESSNER and the I-10 eastbound entrance ramp from KIRKWOOD on Friday, May 16 from 9 PM to 5 AM. Traffic will detour to the I-10 eastbound frontage road and re-enter the I-10 eastbound mainlanes before Gessner.
. The BELTWAY 8 northbound frontage road between QUEENSBURY and I-10/KATY FREEWAY will be closed on Friday, May 16 from 9 PM to 5 AM. Traffic will detour via the Beltway 8 northbound frontage road flyover bridge or turn right on Queensbury, left on Attingham to the I-10 eastbound frontage road, turn right on the I-10 eastbound frontage road to Gessner, U-turn to the I-10 westbound frontage road to the Beltway 8 northbound frontage road.
. The BELTWAY 8 southbound frontage road at I-10/KATY FREEWAY will be closed on Friday, May 16 from 9 PM to 5 AM. Detour to the I-10 westbound frontage road, U-turn at Wilcrest to the I-10 eastbound frontage road to the Beltway 8 southbound frontage road.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound frontage road between BELTWAY 8 and TOWN AND COUNTRY BLVD beginning 5 AM, Saturday, May 17 through 5 PM, Sunday, May 18. Traffic will detour right on the Beltway 8 southbound frontage road to Kimberley, U-turn to the Beltway 8 northbound frontage road, turn right on Queensbury, left on Attingham to the I-10 eastbound frontage road.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the BELTWAY 8 southbound mainlanes between WESTVIEW and I-10/KATY FREEWAY on Sunday, May 18 from 8 AM to 8 PM. Traffic will detour to the Beltway 8 southbound frontage road and re-enter the Beltway 8 southbound mainlanes from Memorial.
CONTRACTS E1 & E2 (BETWEEN BELTWAY 8 and I-610) CLOSURES
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of northbound and southbound GESSNER at I-10/KATY FREEWAY beginning 9 PM, Friday, May 16 through 5 AM, Monday, May 19. Northbound traffic will detour to the I-10 eastbound frontage road to U-turn through the signalized intersection at Bunker Hill to the I-10 westbound frontage road to Gessner. Southbound traffic will detour to the I-10 westbound frontage road to U-turn at the Beltway-8 frontage road to the I-10 eastbound frontage road to Gessner.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound exit ramp to CHIMNEY ROCK/WIRT RD./SILBER on Saturday, May 17 from 6 AM to 6 PM. Traffic destined for Chimney Rock/Wirt Rd., Silber, Antoine, or N. Post Oak should detour via the Bingle/Voss exit ramp to the I-10 eastbound frontage road.
. There will be alternating lane closures on northbound and southbound GESSNER at I-10/KATY FREEWAY beginning 9 PM, Friday, May 16 through 5 AM, Monday, May 19.

. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of northbound and southbound GESSNER beginning 9 PM, Friday, May 23 through 5 AM, Monday, May 26. Northbound traffic will detour to the I-10 eastbound frontage road to U-turn through the signalized intersection at Bunker Hill to the I-10 westbound frontage road to Gessner. Southbound traffic will detour to the I-10 westbound frontage road to U-turn at the Beltway-8 frontage road to the I-10 eastbound frontage road to Gessner.
CONTRACT D (I-10/BELTWAY 8 INTERCHANGE) CLOSURES
