Notice Regarding This Week's SH-6 Construction Activities

Construction activities associated with the new SH-6 overpass bridge continue this week resulting in several nightly closures. The I-10/Katy Freeway westbound mainlanes between Eldridge and Park Ten will be closed beginning 9 PM, tonight, Tuesday, May 27 until 5 AM, Wednesday, May 28. Traffic will detour to the I-10 westbound frontage road and re-enter the I-10 westbound mainlanes after SH-6. Additional closures associated with this week's work are as follows:
• Northbound and southbound SH-6 at I-10/Katy Freeway will be closed beginning 9 PM, tonight, Tuesday, May 27 until 5 AM, Wednesday, May 28. Northbound traffic will detour to the I-10 eastbound frontage road, U-turn at Eldridge to the I-10 westbound frontage road to SH-6. Southbound traffic will detour to the I-10 westbound frontage road, U-turn at Park Ten to the I-10 eastbound frontage road to SH-6.
• Northbound SH-6 at I-10/Katy Freeway will be closed beginning 9 PM, Wednesday, May 28 until 5 AM, Thursday, May 29. Northbound traffic will detour to the I-10 eastbound frontage road, U-turn at Eldridge to the I-10 westbound frontage road to SH-6.
• The I-10/Katy Freeway eastbound frontage road will be closed at SH-6 beginning 9 PM, Wednesday, May 28 until 5 AM, Thursday, May 29. Traffic will detour south on SH-6, turn left at Grisby to SH-6 northbound to the I-10 eastbound frontage road.
• The I-10/Katy Freeway eastbound mainlanes between Park Ten and Eldridge will be closed beginning 9 PM, Thursday, May 29 until 5 AM, Friday, May 30. Traffic will detour to the I-10 eastbound frontage road and re-enter the I-10 eastbound mainlanes after SH-6.
• Northbound and southbound SH-6 at I-10/Katy Freeway will be closed beginning 9 PM, Thursday, May 29 until 5 AM, Friday, May 30. Northbound traffic will detour to the I-10 eastbound frontage road, U-turn at Eldridge to the I-10 westbound frontage road to SH-6. Southbound traffic will detour to the I-10 westbound frontage road, U-turn at Park Ten to the I-10 eastbound frontage road to SH-6.
• The I-10/Katy Freeway westbound frontage road at SH-6 will be closed beginning 9 PM, Thursday, May 29 until 5 AM, Friday, May 30. Traffic will detour north on SH-6, turn left at Park Row to SH-6 southbound to the I-10 westbound frontage road.
• Two lanes of southbound SH-6 between Park Row and I-10/Katy Freeway will be closed beginning 9 PM, Thursday, May 29 until 5 AM, Friday, May 30.
Law enforcement will be stationed at key locations to facilitate the movement of traffic in the area. Please note that all closures are subject to change.
