REMINDER -- Construction Activities Continue at I-10 and SH-6 This Weekend

West Houston drivers are reminded that construction activities associated with the Katy Freeway Reconstruction Program's new SH-6 overpass bridge will continue this weekend as well as intersection work at Eldridge. Closures associated with this work are as follows:
• Northbound and southbound SH-6 at I-10/Katy Freeway will be closed beginning 6 AM, Saturday, May 31 until 2 PM, Sunday, June 1. Northbound traffic will detour to the I-10 eastbound frontage road, U-turn at Eldridge to the I-10 westbound frontage road to SH-6. Southbound traffic will detour to the I-10 westbound frontage road, U-turn at Park Ten to the I-10 eastbound frontage road to SH-6.
• The I-10/Katy Freeway eastbound frontage road will be closed at SH-6 beginning 6 AM, Saturday, May 31 until 5 AM, Sunday, June 1. Traffic will detour south on SH-6, turn left at Grisby to SH-6 northbound to the I-10 eastbound frontage road.
• The I-10/Katy Freeway eastbound frontage road at Eldridge will be closed beginning 9 PM, Friday, May 30 until 5 AM, Monday, June 2. Traffic will detour right on Eldridge and U-turn to northbound Eldridge to the I-10 eastbound frontage road or continue south on Eldridge to Memorial, turn left to Dairy Ashford and turn left to the I-10 eastbound frontage road.
• The I-10/Katy Freeway eastbound exit ramp to Eldridge/Dairy Ashford will be closed beginning 9 PM, Friday, May 30 until 5 AM, Monday, June 2. Traffic will detour to the Kirkwood exit ramp.
Law enforcement will be stationed at key locations to facilitate the movement of traffic in the area. Please note that all closures are subject to change due to inclement weather.
