Below is an updated list of the scheduled closures associated with the Katy Freeway Reconstruction Program as of Friday, June 6, 2008.
CONTRACT C1 (SH 6 to east of ELDRIDGE) CLOSURES
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of northbound and southbound SH-6 at the I-10/KATY FREEWAY beginning 9 PM, Friday, June 6 until NOON, Saturday, June 7. Northbound traffic will detour to the I-10 eastbound frontage road to Eldridge, U-turn to the I-10 westbound frontage road to SH-6. Southbound traffic will detour to the I-10 westbound frontage road to Park Ten, U-turn to the I-10 eastbound frontage road to SH-6.
. One inside lane of southbound SH-6 from GRISBY to MEMORIAL will be closed continuously beginning 9 PM, Friday, June 6 until 5 AM, Monday, June 9.
. One inside lane of southbound ELDRIDGE will be closed at DAIRY ASHFORD beginning 9 PM, Friday, June 6 until 5 AM, Monday, June 9.
CONTRACT C2 (DAIRY ASHFORD to east of KIRKWOOD) CLOSURES
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound from WILCREST to ELDRIDGE beginning 9 PM, Saturday, June 7 until 8 PM, Sunday, June 8. Traffic will detour via the Wilcrest exit to the I-10 eastbound frontage road and re-enter the mainlanes from Eldridge. Law enforcement will be on site to facilitate the movement of traffic.
. Two lanes of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound frontage road between KIRKWOOD and WILCREST and the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound entrance ramp from KIRKWOOD will be closed beginning 9 PM, Tuesday, June 10 until 5 AM, Wednesday, June 11.
CONTRACT D (I-10/BELTWAY 8 INTERCHANGE) CLOSURES
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the BELTWAY 8 southbound frontage between I-10/KATY FREEWAY and KIMBERLEY on Saturday, June 7 from 6 AM to 5 PM. Detour to the I-10 westbound frontage road, U-turn at Wilcrest to the I-10 eastbound frontage, turn right on Brittmoore, turn left on Kimberley to the Beltway 8 southbound frontage road.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound mainlanes between GESSNER and WILCREST and the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound exit ramp to Gessner nightly Monday, June 9 and Tuesday, June 10 from 9 PM to 5 AM. Traffic will detour to the I-10 westbound frontage road via the Beltway 8 exit and re-enter the I-10 westbound mainlanes east of Wilcrest.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound mainlanes between WILCREST and GESSNER and the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound entrance ramp from Kirkwood nightly Monday, June 9 and Tuesday, June 10 from 9 PM to 5 AM. Traffic will detour to the I-10 eastbound frontage road.
. The BELTWAY 8 southbound frontage road between WESTVIEW and I-10/KATY FREEWAY will be closed nightly Monday, June 9 and Tuesday, June 10 from 9 PM to 5 AM. Detour to the Beltway 8 southbound frontage road flyover bridge or turn right on Westview and left on Brittmoore, to the I-10 westbound frontage road, U-turn at Wilcrest to the I-10 eastbound frontage road to the Beltway 8 southbound frontage road.
. The BELTWAY 8 northbound frontage road between QUEENSBURY and I-10/KATY FREEWAY will be closed nightly Monday, June 9 and Tuesday, June 10 from 9 PM to 5 AM. Traffic will detour via the Beltway 8 northbound frontage road flyover bridge or turn right on Queensbury, left on Attingham to the I-10 eastbound frontage road, turn right on the I-10 eastbound frontage road to Gessner, U-turn to the I-10 westbound frontage road to the Beltway 8 northbound frontage road.
CONTRACTS E1 & E2 (BETWEEN BELTWAY 8 and I-610) CLOSURES
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of northbound and southbound PINEY POINT at the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound frontage road beginning 9 PM, Friday, June 6 until 5 AM, Monday, June 9. Traffic will detour south on Corbindale to access Piney Point.
. There will be alternate lane closures on northbound and southbound ANTOINE at I-10 KATY FREEWAY on Sunday, June 8 from 7 AM to 6 PM.
. There will be alternate lane closures on the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound and westbound frontage roads at ANTOINE on Sunday, June 8 from 7 AM to 6 PM.
. There will be alternate lane closures on northbound and southbound CHIMNEY ROCK/WIRT RD. at I-10 KATY FREEWAY on Sunday, June 8 from 7 AM to 6 PM.
. There will be alternate lane closures on the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound and westbound frontage roads at CHIMNEY ROCK/WIRT RD. on Sunday, June 8 from 7 AM to 6 PM.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of northbound and southbound CLIFFORD at the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound frontage road from 9 AM, Wednesday, June 11 until 9 PM, Saturday, June 14. Traffic should detour south on Brogden, west on Gaylord to Clifford.
. The western half of BROGDEN at the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound frontage road will be closed from 9 AM, Wednesday, June 11 through 9 PM, Saturday, June 14.
CONTRACT G (I-610 to west of WASHINGTON) CLOSURES
. One lane of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound direct connector ramp to I-610/WEST LOOP northbound will be closed beginning 8 PM, Friday, June 6 until 10 AM, Saturday, June 7.
. Two outside lanes of I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound from I-610/WEST LOOP to WASHINGTON AVE/WESTCOTT ST will be closed on Saturday, June 7 from 6 AM to 6 PM.

CONTRACT D (I-10/BELTWAY 8 INTERCHANGE) CLOSURES
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound mainlanes between GESSNER and WILCREST daily Saturday, June 14 and Sunday, June 15 from 5 AM to 8 PM. Traffic will detour to the I-10 westbound frontage road via the Beltway 8 exit and re-enter the I-10 westbound mainlanes east of Wilcrest.
CONTRACTS E1 & E2 (BETWEEN BELTWAY 8 and I-610) CLOSURES
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound to
westbound U-turn at GESSNER beginning 9 PM, Friday, June 13 until 5 AM, Monday, June 16. Traffic should detour through the signalized intersection.
