Below is an updated list of the scheduled closures associated with the Katy Freeway Reconstruction Program as of Friday, June 20, 2008.
CONTRACT D (I-10/BELTWAY 8 INTERCHANGE) CLOSURES
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound mainlanes between WILCREST and GESSNER and the I-10 eastbound entrance ramp from Kirkwood daily Saturday, June 21 and Sunday, June 22 from 5 AM to 8 PM. Traffic will detour to the I-10 eastbound frontage road and will re-enter the I-10 eastbound mainlanes east of Beltway 8.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the BELTWAY 8 southbound frontage road between WESTVIEW and I-10/KATY FREEWAY daily Saturday, June 21 and Sunday, June 22 from 5 AM to 8 PM. Traffic will detour via the Beltway 8 southbound frontage road flyover bridge or turn right on Westview and left on Brittmoore, to the I-10 westbound frontage road, U-turn at Wilcrest to the I-10 eastbound frontage road to the Beltway 8 southbound frontage road.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the BELTWAY 8 northbound frontage road between QUEENSBURY and I-10/KATY FREEWAY daily Saturday, June 21 and Sunday, June 22 from 5 AM to 8 PM. Traffic will detour via the Beltway 8 northbound frontage road flyover bridge or turn right on Queensbury, left on Attingham to the I-10 eastbound frontage road, turn right on the I-10 eastbound frontage road to Gessner, U-turn to the I-10 westbound frontage road to the Beltway 8 northbound frontage road.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the BELTWAY 8 southbound frontage road between WESTVIEW and I-10/KATY FREEWAY nightly Monday, June 23 and Tuesday, June 24 from 9 PM to 5 AM. Traffic will detour via the Beltway 8 southbound frontage road flyover bridge or turn right on Westview and left on Brittmoore, to the I-10 westbound frontage road, U-turn at Wilcrest to the I-10 eastbound frontage road to the Beltway 8 southbound frontage road.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the BELTWAY 8 northbound frontage road between QUEENSBURY and I-10/KATY FREEWAY nightly Monday, June 23 and Tuesday, June 24 from 9 PM to 5 AM. Traffic will detour via the Beltway 8 northbound frontage road flyover bridge or turn right on Queensbury, left on Attingham to the I-10 eastbound frontage road, turn right on the I-10 eastbound frontage road to Gessner, U-turn to the I-10 westbound frontage road to the Beltway 8 northbound frontage road.
CONTRACTS E1 & E2 (BETWEEN BELTWAY 8 and I-610) CLOSURES
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound mainlanes at CHIMNEY ROCK beginning 9 PM, Friday, June 20 until 9 AM, Saturday, June 21. Traffic will detour to the I-10 eastbound frontage road and re-enter the I-10 eastbound mainlanes at the next entrance ramp.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of northbound and southbound CAMPBELL at I-10/KATY FREEWAY beginning 9 PM, Friday, June 20 until 5 AM, Monday, June 23. Traffic should detour to the I-10 westbound frontage road, turn right on Bingle/Voss Rd., and turn right on Westview to access Campbell.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of northbound and southbound BLALOCK/ECHO LN at I-10/KATY FREEWAY beginning 9 PM, Friday, June 20 until 5 AM, Monday, June 23. Northbound traffic will turn left on Gaylord, right on Mustang to the I-10 eastbound frontage road, U-turn to the I-10 westbound frontage road to Bunker Hill. Southbound traffic will detour to the I-10 westbound frontage road, turn left at Bunker Hill, left on Gaylord to Echo Ln.
CONTRACT G (I-610 to west of WASHINGTON) CLOSURES
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound mainlanes between WASHINGTON AVE./WESTCOTT ST. and I-610/WEST LOOP and the I-10 westbound entrance ramp from WASHINGTON beginning 9 PM, Friday, June 20 until 5 AM, Monday, June 23. Traffic will be detoured to exit at Washington Avenue, to make a right and continue to Old Katy Road to access the I-10 westbound frontage road and enter the I-10/Katy Freeway at Antoine.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound direct connector ramps to I-610/WEST LOOP north- and southbound beginning 9 PM, Friday, June 20 until 5 AM, Monday, June 23. I-10 westbound traffic destined to I-610 northbound will detour to Old Katy Road and turn right to the I-610 northbound frontage road and enter the I-610 mainlanes before 18th Street. I-10 westbound traffic destined to I-610 southbound will detour to Old Katy Road, make a left on North Post Oak to access the I-610 southbound frontage road and enter the I-610 mainlanes after Woodway.

CONTRACT G (I-610 to west of WASHINGTON) CLOSURES
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound mainlanes between I-610/WEST LOOP and WASHINGTON AVE./WESTCOTT ST. on Saturday, June 28. More details including duration of closure and detours will be released next week.
