Below is an updated list of the scheduled closures associated with the Katy Freeway Reconstruction Program as of Thursday, July 3, 2008.
THERE WILL BE NO MAJOR CLOSURES DURING THE 4TH OF JULY WEEKEND

A Glimpse at Next Week's Work...
CONTRACTS E1 & E2 (BETWEEN BELTWAY 8 and I-610) CLOSURES
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound exit ramp to CHIMNEY ROCK/WIRT RD. continuously beginning 9 AM, Wednesday, July 9 through 6 PM, Sunday, July 13. Detour to the Bingle/Voss Rd. exit ramp.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound entrance ramp from BINGLE/VOSS RD. continuously beginning 9 AM, Wednesday, July 9 through 6 PM, Sunday, July 13. Detour to the Silber Tunnel entrance ramp.
. There will be alternate lane closures on the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound mainlanes between BINGLE/VOSS RD. and I-610/WEST LOOP beginning 9 PM, Friday, July 11 until 9 AM, Saturday, July 12. One lane will remain open.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound direct connector ramps to I-610/WEST LOOP north- and southbound beginning 9 PM, Friday, July 11 until 9 AM, Saturday, July 12. Traffic will detour to the Washington Ave./Westcott St. exit, U-turn through the signalized intersection to enter the I-10 westbound mainlanes to access I-610/West Loop north- and southbound.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE OF the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound mainlanes at I-610/WEST LOOP beginning 9 AM, Saturday, July 12 until
9 AM, Sunday, July 13. Traffic will detour to I-610 southbound, exit Woodway, U-turn to enter the I-610 northbound mainlanes to I-10 eastbound.
CONTRACT G (I-610 to west of WASHINGTON) CLOSURES
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound mainlanes between WASHINGTON AVE./WESTCOTT ST. and I-610/WEST LOOP and the I-10 westbound entrance ramp from WASHINGTON beginning 10 PM, Monday, July 7 until 5 AM, Tuesday, July 8. Traffic will detour to exit at Washington Avenue, to make a right and continue to Old Katy Road to access the I-10 westbound frontage road and enter I-10 at Antoine.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound direct connector ramps to I-610/WEST LOOP north- and southbound beginning 10 PM, Monday, July 7 until 5 AM, Tuesday, July 8. I-10 westbound traffic destined to I-610 northbound will detour to Old Katy Road and turn right to the I-610 northbound frontage road and enter the I-610 mainlanes before 18th Street. I-10 westbound traffic destined to I-610 southbound will detour to Old Katy Road, make a left on North Post Oak to access the I-610 southbound frontage road and enter the I-610 mainlanes after Woodway.
. One outside lane of I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound will be closed between WASHINGTON AVE./WESTCOTT ST. and I-610/WEST LOOP on Tuesday, July 8 and Thursday, July 9 from 9 AM to 3 PM.
. One outside lane of I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound will be closed between WASHINGTON AVE./WESTCOTT ST. and I-610/WEST LOOP on Saturday, July 12 from 6 AM to 6 PM.
