Upcoming Katy Freeway Program Closures

Below is an updated list of the scheduled closures associated with the Katy Freeway Reconstruction Program as of Friday, August 8, 2008.
CONTRACT D (I-10/BELTWAY 8 INTERCHANGE) CLOSURES
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound frontage road at BELTWAY 8 beginning 9 PM, Friday, August 8 until 5 AM, Saturday, August 9. Detour to the Beltway 8 northbound frontage road to Westview, turn left on Westview to Brittmoore to the I-10 westbound frontage road.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the BELTWAY 8 southbound mainlanes between WESTVIEW and MEMORIAL Monday, August 11 and Tuesday, August 12 from 10 PM to 5 AM. Traffic will detour to the Beltway 8 southbound frontage road.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound direct connector ramp to BELTWAY 8 southbound Monday, August 11, Tuesday, August 12 and Wednesday, August 13 from 9 PM to 5 AM. I-10 westbound traffic destined to Beltway 8 southbound will detour via the new I-10 westbound direct connector ramp to Beltway 8 northbound, exit Hammerly and U-turn to the Beltway 8 southbound frontage road and enter the Beltway 8 mainlanes via the entrance ramp from Hammerly.
CONTRACTS E1 & E2 (BETWEEN BELTWAY 8 and I-610) CLOSURES
. One outside lane of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound mainlanes will be closed between BUNKER HILL and CAMPBELL including the I-10 eastbound entrance ramps from Bunker Hill and Blalock Saturday, August 9 from 7A to 6P.
CONTRACT G (I-610 to west of WASHINGTON) CLOSURES
. One outside lane of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound mainlanes between WASHINGTON and I-610/WEST LOOP will be closed Saturday, August 9 from 6 AM to 6 PM.
. One outside lane of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound mainlanes between SHEPHERD and
T C JESTER will be closed Sunday, August 10 from 7 AM to 5 PM.

CONTRACTS E1 & E2 (BETWEEN BELTWAY 8 and I-610) CLOSURES
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound mainlanes between I-610/WEST LOOP and ANTOINE beginning 10 PM, Thursday, August 14 until 5 AM, Friday, August 15. Traffic will detour via the Silber/Antoine exit ramp to the I-10 westbound frontage road and re-enter the I-10 westbound mainlanes west of Antoine.
