Upcoming Katy Freeway Program Closures

Below is an updated list of the scheduled closures associated with the Katy Freeway Reconstruction Program as of Friday, August 22, 2008.
CONTRACT C1 (SH 6 to east of ELDRIDGE) CLOSURES
. The inside lane of northbound and southbound SH-6 between the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound frontage road and north of the ADDICKS DAM will be closed Saturday, August 23 from 7 AM to 3 PM.
CONTRACT G (I-610 to west of WASHINGTON) CLOSURES
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound entrance ramps from SHEPHERD/DURHAM and TC JESTER on Saturday, August 23 from 5 AM to 10 AM. Detour to the Washington Ave./Westcott St. entrance ramp.
. One alternate lane of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound mainlanes between DURHAM/SHEPHERD and I-610/WEST LOOP will be closed on Saturday, August 23 between 5 AM and 10 AM.
. One inside lane of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound mainlanes between I-610/WEST LOOP and the UNION PACIFIC RAILROAD will be closed Saturday, August 23 from 8 AM to 10 AM.

A Glimpse at Next Weekend's Work...
. The I-10/Katy HOV Lane will close permanently effective Monday, September 1, 2008. HOV service will resume as part of the new Katy Tollway/Managed Lanes operation in late October.
