Below is an updated list of the scheduled closures associated with the Katy Freeway Reconstruction Program as of Friday, September 26, 2008.
CONTRACT D (I-10/BELTWAY 8 INTERCHANGE) CLOSURES
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound direct connector ramps to BELTWAY 8 north- and southbound from 9 PM, Friday, September 26 until 5 AM, Monday, September 29. Detour to the Kirkwood exit ramp and U-turn to enter the I-10 eastbound mainlanes to access the ramp to Beltway 8 north- and southbound.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the BELTWAY 8 southbound frontage road between WESTVIEW and I-10/KATY FREEWAY beginning 6 AM, Saturday, September 27 until 5 AM, Monday, September 29. Detour right on Westview to Brittmoore, turn left to the I-10 westbound frontage road, U-turn at Wilcrest to the I-10 eastbound frontage road, to the Beltway 8 southbound frontage road.
CONTRACTS E1 & E2 (BETWEEN BELTWAY 8 and I-610) CLOSURES
. One outside lane of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound mainlanes between GESSNER and BELTWAY 8 will be closed from 9 PM, Friday, September 26 until 5 AM, Monday, September 29.
. One outside lane of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound mainlanes between CAMPBELL and CHIMNEY ROCK will be closed on Saturday, September 27 and Sunday, September 28 from 7 AM to 6 PM.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound exit ramp to GESSNER from 9 PM, Friday, September 26 until 5 AM, Monday, September 29. Detour to the Beltway 8 exit and U-turn to the I-10 eastbound frontage road to access Gessner.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound entrance ramp from BLALOCK/ECHO LANE from 9 PM Friday, September 26 until 5 AM, Monday, September 29. Detour to the Beltway 8 entrance ramp.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound entrance ramp from BINGLE/VOSS RD. from 9 PM, Friday, September 26 until 5 AM, Monday, September 29. Detour to the Beltway 8 entrance ramp.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound exit ramp to BINGLE/VOSS RD. on Saturday, September 27 and Sunday, September 28 from 7 AM to 6 PM. Detour to the Silber exit and U-turn to the I-10 westbound frontage road to Bingle/Voss.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound exit ramp to CHIMNEY ROCK/WIRT RD. on Saturday, September 27 and Sunday, September 28 from 7 AM to 6 PM. Detour to the Silber exit and U-turn at Silber to the westbound frontage road to Chimney Rock/Wirt.
