Below is an updated list of the scheduled closures associated with the Katy Freeway Reconstruction Program as of Friday, October 10, 2008.
CONTRACT C2 (DAIRY ASHFORD to east of KIRKWOOD) CLOSURES CONTRACT
. There will be alternate lane closures on the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound and westbound frontage roads between WILCREST DR and ELDRIDGE PKWY on Saturday, October 11 from 8 AM to 3 PM.
CONTRACT D (I-10/BELTWAY 8 INTERCHANGE) CLOSURES
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound direct connector ramps to BELTWAY 8 northbound and southbound beginning 9 PM, Friday, October 10 until 5 AM, Monday, October 13. Detour via the Beltway 8 exit and remain on the I-10 westbound frontage road to access Beltway 8 via the north- or southbound frontage roads.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound direct connector ramps to BELTWAY 8 northbound and southbound overnight Monday, October 13 through Wednesday, October 15 from 9 PM to 5 AM. Detour via the Beltway 8 exit and remain on the I-10 westbound frontage road to access Beltway 8 via the north- or southbound frontage roads.
. Two inside lanes of the BELTWAY 8 northbound mainlanes at I-10/KATY FREEWAY will be closed Monday, October 13 through Wednesday, October 15 from 9 PM to 5 AM.
CONTRACTS E1 & E2 (BETWEEN BELTWAY 8 and I-610) CLOSURES
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound mainlanes at OLD KATY ROAD/NORTH POST OAK nightly on Friday, October 10 and Saturday, October 11 from 9 PM to 10 AM and on Sunday, October 13 from 9 PM to 5 AM. Traffic will detour to the Old Katy Road exit to the I-10 westbound frontage road and re-enter the I-10 westbound mainlanes after Antoine.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-610/WEST LOOP north- and southbound direct connector ramps to I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound nightly on Friday, October 10 and Saturday, October 11 from 9 PM to 10 AM and on Sunday, October 12 from 9 PM to 5 AM. Northbound traffic will detour to I-10 eastbound, exit at Washington/Westcott, to I-10 westbound, to the Old Katy Rd exit to the I-10 westbound frontage road, and re-enter the I-10 westbound mainlanes after Antoine. Southbound traffic will detour to the Old Katy Rd. exit, to the I-10 westbound frontage road and enter I-10 westbound after Antoine.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-610/WEST LOOP north- and southbound direct connector ramps to I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound nightly on Monday, October 13 and Tuesday, October 14 from 9 PM to 5 AM. Traffic should detour to I-10/Katy Freeway eastbound, turn left at Washington Ave./Westcott St. to enter the I-10 westbound mainlanes.
. Two outside lanes of I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound between I-610/WEST LOOP and SILBER will be closed on Monday, October 13 and Tuesday, October 14 from 9 PM to 5 AM.
