Jones Executive Public Information Officer 713-881-3244 / 832-444-0466 or email: ajones3@houstontranstar.org HOUSTON TRANSTAR TO SERVE AS HOST FOR SUPER BOWL XXXVIII TRANSPORTATION NEWS CONFERENCE (Houston, Texas) ------ Houston TranStar, the Transportation and Emergency Management Center for the greater Houston region, will serve as host for the Super Bowl XXXVIII Transportation News Conference taking place on Thursday, January 22, 2004 starting at 2:00 p.m. CST. Houston TranStar is located at 6922 Old Katy Road. Topics covered at the news conference include: How to Access and Exit Downtown by Car, Light Rail and/or Bus Where to Park Park and Ride Locations Recommended Routes And, How to Access the Free METRO Circulator Maps and other handouts will be made available by the Super Bowl Host Committee and the Downtown Management District. Maps can also be downloaded from www.downtownstreets.com after 2:00 p.m. on January 22nd. Present at the Super Bowl XXXVIII Transportation News Conference will be officials from the Super Bowl Host Committee, Downtown Management District, METRO, Houston Police Department and other agencies who will be on hand to answer questions and discuss recommended routes and parking accommodations.
