San Felipe and Post Oak Boulevard Intersection Closed Tonight, to Reopen Monday, June 1 Closure begins 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 27, to reopen 5 a.m, Monday, June 1 Media Contacts: Delia Mizwa, (713) 621-2011 (office) or (713) 204-7061 (mobile) dmizwa@uptown-houston.com Katie Butler, (713) 970-2100 (office) or (713) 466-6944 (mobile) katie@vollmerpr.com Who: Uptown Houston Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone (TIRZ) What: Full closure of intersection Where: San Felipe and Post Oak Boulevard Uptown Houston When: Closes – Wednesday, May 27 at 7 p.m. Re-opens - Monday, June 1 at 5 a.m. Why: Beginning this evening, the entire intersection of San Felipe and Post Oak Boulevard will be re-paved as the reconstruction of San Felipe continues. In addition, time permitting; crews will reinstall the iconic Uptown Houston ring, which was removed to relocate the support pole for the widening of San Felipe. Alternate Routes: See attached map. New Street: To coincide with the closure of the intersection of the San Felipe and Post Oak Boulevard, the Uptown Houston TIRZ recently completed the new Post Oak Lane, which runs north and south connecting San Felipe to Ambassador Way. Post Oak Lane runs perpendicular to San Felipe, allowing drivers to travel from Woodway to Westheimer without accessing Post Oak Boulevard. |
