Media Contact: Dinah Massie 713.881.3244 US 290 Westbound at 43rd St. Reopens HOV lane returns to normal operations The accident at US 290 at 43rd St. has been cleared. The US 290 High Occupancy Vehicle lane will return to its normal requirement for two or more passengers per vehicle. Travelers should expect traffic in the area to remain slow until the backed-up vehicle queue is cleared. Houston TranStar is a collaboration between four government agencies that coordinate and enhance transportation and emergency management services, responding to incidents and emergencies in Harris County and beyond. Sharing their resources to serve area residents are: the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT), Harris County, Metropolitan Transit Authority of Harris County (METRO) and the City of Houston. -30- |
