Media Contact: Dinah Massie 713.881.3244 Southbound ramp from I-610 West Loop to I-10 closed Vehicles will be diverted to frontage road past Bingle Houston TranStar officials are notifying area travelers that the southbound ramp from the I-610 West Loop to the Katy Freeway is closed because of an overturned 18-wheeler. Cleanup is expected to last until into the rush hour, so this afternoon’s traffic in that area will be affected. One possible detour for travelers wishing to take I-10 eastbound is to take I-10 westbound, exit at Silber and u-turn back onto I-10 eastbound, Houston TranStar is a collaboration between four government agencies that coordinate and enhance transportation and emergency management services, responding to incidents and emergencies in Harris County and beyond. Sharing their resources to serve area residents are: the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT), Harris County, Metropolitan Transit Authority of Harris County (METRO) and the City of Houston. -30- |
