Blocked Incident expected to last past rush hour Houston TranStar officials are notifying area travelers that both west- and eastbound lanes of I-10 the Katy Freeway at Peterson Road are blocked by an overturned 18-wheeler. Westbound traffic is being diverted at the Katy Fort Bend exit onto US 90, and is re-entering the freeway at FM 1463. Eastbound traffic is diverted to the frontage road. Repairs and cleanup are expected to last past the rush hour, so travelers are advised to expect significant delays in both directions. Travelers are encouraged to consider either taking an alternate route or delaying their departure times. Houston TranStar is an alliance of four government agencies that coordinate and enhance transportation and emergency management services, responding to incidents and emergencies in Harris County and beyond. Sharing their resources to serve area residents are: the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT), Harris County, Metropolitan Transit Authority of Harris County (METRO) and the City of Houston. |
