Media Contact: Dinah Massie 713-881-3244 Closure of Northbound lanes of FM 1098 at FM 1488, east of Hempstead Waller County incident is expected to continue into early morning September 18 Houston TranStar officials are notifying the public that a heavy truck hauling an oversized load is blocking the northbound lanes of FM 1098 at FM 1488 in Waller County, east of Hempstead. The trailer's dolly broke at the intersection of FM 1098 and FM 1488. A crane has been dispatched to remove the truck's load and replace the dolly; however, the incident may last until the early morning hours of Tuesday, September 18. Houston TranStar is a coalition of four government entities sharing their resources and skills to provide transportation management and emergency management to the residents of Southeast Texas. The City of Houston, Harris County, the Metropolitan Transit Authority of Harris County and the Texas Department of Transportation comprise the four collaborating agencies. |
